  • Today, Tish has got her hands on the Audi Q4 E Tron, or as she likes to call it, 'the big purple one'. It's a solid family car that COULD be the affordable entryway to owning a luxury car. If ONLY it didn't have this one thing...

A number of mistakes in this review! For example. The electric tailgate is not standard on all models, if comes standard on the S-line up. Also the head-up-display is an optional extra! (Not fitted as standard).

Nice review! I have one on order as my company car. The Q4 is actually cheaper than an Enyaq or ID4 on my scheme so was a bit of a no brainier. Wouldn’t buy it with my own money though - £50K for a well-specced version is way too much. Tried a lot of cars - all the MEB platform ones, an Ionic 5 and Volvo XC40. The Q4 was the best one for me for price and practicality. Would say all cars at this level though are great cars so I wouldn’t have been disappointed with any of them (okay maybe the ID4 due to the infotainment!).

Tish. You might want to go into the serviceability aspect of those vehicles. Especially when they are promoted as a luxury vehicle! How accessible and serviceable is it's battery pack?
Give a good look at the design of the cooling/warming system for the battery pack. How accessible is it? Step up to the dealership parts counter and brace yourself for the cost of the cooling/ warming system major components! Also, what is the cost of the various battery packs? Inquire about the labor time involved to replace it. These things matter in the real world.
