I want to go home. I finally want to go home. A home of eternal safety and peace. I deserve it! Thats what this wonderful performance make me feel. Please bring me home
Very nice duet, the train going by is perfectly fitting It's been a day since I found this and I've listened to it 100 times at least,it is brilliant young ladies,i love old Appalachian murder ballads. Or as much as you can I guess, lol.
Nora you're amazing. Can't wait to get my copy of your new album I bought :) keep on playing. It's wonderful being able to watch you grow as a musician.
Saw you two do this song at the Baltimore Old Time festival! It was absolutely unreal, probably my favorite song of the night. Is there a way to get a copy of the audio from this? Or preferably from last weekend? Bought your vinyl too!
@@jamesbowman1280 Wrong. Yes the banger instrument is of African origin but the chordal rhythm being played and modal melodies being sung are Anglo-Saxon/Celtic to the core.
It's wonderful to see someone of my grandchildrens generation doing old time music so beautifuly.

Don't ever want to hear a different version of Wild Bill Jones again. Love it! Train and all.
Charlie Parr does a great version too
I'm waking up to her all winter
in her most recent past life, Nora rambled the nations riding the rails from town to town strumming the banjo for her keep.
Bravo Very Nice !
Restraint is an artform that Stephanie has mastered, IMO best fiddle out there.
Lovely, thank you
Evidently this balcony is a great place to hear quality bluegrass as well as spot trains! Suits me fine!
Straight goosebumps! on the harmony n then when she comes in on the fiddle

Anyone know what model gooseneck mic Nora has on her banjo>
Saw your video with Lee Sexton. Just curious, do you miss him? You're very lucky to have met him. You both seem like a great people .
You two should stick together, magical sounds.
Nice
Another beautiful aspect of Anglo-Saxon culture and deserves to be preserved. Well done!
the banjo and the technique on display here is from black culture
@Matthew Malloy just pointing out that it's African-American slave culture, not Anglo-Saxon as claimed

@@patrickfoster4586 Unfortunately they forget that part haha
is she playing this in G?
Is that a fiddle or violin ?
Is it a fire fly or a lightning bug?
Is it a potato or a potahto
Finally I see Nora with someone who seems her own age and size. Like that!
