Wow, what a special item. Over 400 years old. If the chalice could talk... May be worth double that price today, I'd estimate.

"Kill meeeeee". I'd say a *talking chalice* would be worth a bit more than twice this inanimate one! You could probably sell a sentient talking chalice for 100 billion dollars to the US government alone.

Good place to keep it as Banks are also corrupt.

Listen to this expert doing Cromwell's bidding for him 360 years later. Telling the churchman It should have been handed in, twice. I bet he's fun at party's, whereas the churchman carries his own goblet around with him, just in case there's a drink going...😀...

'I'm afraid all our silver is in the bank' typical church, either use it or sell it and use the money for some good!

Problem is, like deflation, it's worth more the longer they keep it since it's historic

Can you not understand the Church cannot now "use it" as before because of the real risk of it being stolen?

@@scottloar can you not understand that anything can be stolen and sitting in the bank helps for nothing.

@@combrogi Can you not understand the chalice and articles of communion are part of the historical legacy of this church and not to be blithely dismissed for the thousand or so pounds a sale will bring in?
