Thank you, and might be keeping this SP. I will definitely be keeping that 911. Thank you for your support over the years Chis. You are a appreciated, my friend.
Very nice find! Curious as to how much it sold for please. I just freshened up my 92. I have a full video of the refresh on my channel if you’d like to check it out, I would appreciate any feedback and what you think the value might be, although I’m not ready to part with it. I’ve owned it for almost 30 years. Thanks!
@@emppowersportsandmarine6270 Just keep them both, would love to see the SL. I copied the SL with mine, check it out, I’ve always wanted a SL. Both colors are great.
@@itsthecarrs I plan to, and wish that I still had my crashed FE project for the set. My SL is somewhat well known. You can find it on DucCutters.com and other other places on the internet. It’s a California Hot Rod built in my first shop. I think that I have a 2V video on this channel showing off the SL,SP and Alazzurra 650. I still have all three
My neighbour has a 900SS from 1994 according to the Australian VIN check but looking at the Ducati in records it seems to be a Homologation Special from 1992. ZDM1HC3NXRB. He has not ridden it for 10 years ever sense I've been here. I wonder if I should buy it and get it up and running. I wonder how much I should spend on it?
Check VIN with your local dealer. There are no homologation special 900 SuperSports (less the 1974 750ss). The homologation models would be 851/888/916/996/748 SP/SPS/SP2/SP3/SP4 and such models. Only Superbikes would need to be homologated for racing. Thus stated, he could have a 1992 MK1 900SL (SuperLight). It is a special edition, 952 were made. They are red with a number plate that says SuperLight, Marvic/Akront 2 piece wheels (could be missing, after 30 years) a vented clutch cover, Carbon mudguards and a mono-posto tail section. North American models (300 of the 952) are yellow and titled as 1993’s. I have #922 in my collection of bikes and have been it’s Caretaker since 2010. There is a video with my Ducati 2V collection on this channel, if you would like to view that bike.
There are no homologation SuperSports except for the 1970’s 750ss. 851/888/916/996 SP/SPS variants would be the homologation racers of the era. Your Mate probably has ROW version of this American SP, 1993 would be a 900SL (SuperLight) 3. Very special bike, non the less
No idea, they were on the bike when I purchased it. I believe they are aftermarket. I will scroll through my dealers books. Please message us through emppowersports.com
That was very in depth video of things to know about the 900s. Thanks for that 👍
You are welcome and I am happy that other enthusiasts enjoy this content.
Great video!!
