Beautiful Lido deck. It will be interesting to see how the loungers work out on Caribbean cruises. It's usually hard to find one on sea days on other ships so I can't imagine that what they have out there now will work. We're booked on this ship November 2024. Can't wait to see it in person! Thanks for the great tour!
You are welcome! Snd I agree on the Loungers! Hasn’t been much of an issue on this cruise, but then this is a Journeys-type crowd and much cooler weather-wise than a usual Caribbean cruise. For a Caribbean cruise, however, I agree with you-doesn’t seem like anywhere near enough sun loungers. I think they HAVE to remove some of the eating tables around the pool and put in more loungers, Those would be in the shade, but I actually like shaded loungers. In any event, I am anxious to see how that all works out. Enjoy your cruise!
Im very nervous in general. The layout and theme of the ship is more fitting for a smaller and relaxed crowd. We know that a lot of sailings tend to bring in larger, "turnt up" crowds. Especially the Caribbean ones. I think maybe this would've been a nice ship for adults only sailings. just an idea!
@@Imseeraw It will be interesting to see how it goes for the Caribbean sailings. One nice feature of the Lido was it has a large surface area for the deck parties, which can be held rain or shine with the retractable roof. Also, there is a good splash zone and 3 water slides, ropes course, arcade, etc. for kids, teens, and the young at heart. I’ll show those off in my final walking tour. My last cruise from New York was on the Carnival Splendor many years ago…the crowd was not quite as “turnt up” as a Florida sailing for whatever reason, so that may figure in as well.
@@CruisingWithDee Good to hear! It sound's like there are plenty of different hang out spots. I'm a person who likes to chill at the bar versus chillin on a lido lounger! If one area is crowded, we just go to another. Beautiful ship. I will be on the sister one, Firenze, for the Inaugural. So I've been keeping up with the Venezia. Thanks for your video.
Great tour. Thanks Dee. Just curious, long wait for elevators? Carnival is infamous for having to run to the elevators since you dont know which elevator is coming. Also, is there self service laundry? Thank you.
No; really no waits at all for elevators! After the shows, etc, we just walk to the back of the ship since that is where our room is, so perhaps some wait then. A bit of a wait on embarkation day. Otherwise, the system of selecting your elevator and then the digital board telling you which elevator to take to your floor is great since you know exactly which elevator to take! No self-service laundry, but ship has a “special” right now, one bag of laundry for $15 and you can get lots into that bag!
@Cruising With Dee Thank you for your response to both questions. I may have an issue with laundry since I have shirts after I wash that I don't dry. I hang it in closet and let it air dry. Gotta think about that one. Keep enjoying your cruise Dee. Looking forward to the rest of your videos.
Thanks for the tour. I think this ship looks beautiful. We sailed on the Horizon in July, and I was disappointed in how tacky the modern decor looked. Plus, it was a nightmare getting to and from Miami (we live in Maryland). We decided to drive to NY to try the Venezia next summer.
Sorry it took me so long to see your post! The ship IS beautiful, but I haven’t been on Horizon to compare. I’m cruising out of Miami in November and I hope it goes well. Its nice to be able to drive to a port; I love that Carnival has so many home ports.
I think a stateroom on the Lido deck would be quite nice on this ship-easy walking access to the pool area, the buffet, the coffee shop and other eateries. I’m not a Lido deck person-I generally stay within a couple floors of the lower ship amenities like the casino, specialty restaurants, etc,-but I have stayed on the Lido deck on a Carnival ship and also really enjoyed it. Generally, you’ll pay a little more for a stateroom on the Lido deck than lower down in the ship.
Beautiful ship! Doesn’t it make you wonder how the snobs can criticize Carnival after watching this? We have been on over 16 Carnival cruises but we have became somewhat disenchanted with Carny after 3 weeks on the Celebration however the Venezia makes me want to give them another chance. We will be boarding Royal and Princess soon and I do have this ship currently on hold for a fall Bermuda cruise.
Yes, it does make me wonder, especially after coming off Royal Caribbean’s Wonder of the Seas in October, which was a great cruise, but so are my Carnival cruises! I truly loved Venezia on my TransAtlantic. I’m curious though-what did you NOT like about Celebration? I just got off of Celebration on Sunday and I had an absolutely fantastic trip-I’m putting together my Celebration videos now, so more to follow.
@@CruisingWithDee I did a few onboard videos about the ship at the time. Hi! thanks so much for your videos! I am SO curious what is up the stairs near both pools… looks like a second level. Is that considered Deck 11 or like a deck 10/upstairs?? lol
