Let me know which parts are new for you! I’d love to know which parts are more and which are less known amongst the community. Might give me ideas for future videos as well!
Thanks for doing this series. I learned the iniBuilds A300 in large part from your tutorial series and I just bought the A320 today, so I will definitely be viewing all of these.
Captain. You have no idea how much your videos have helped me. I am doing my self sponsored type rating, currently going through the ground school. As soon as I get my first job after my rating, I will make sure to properly thank you for the immense value you are providing with these videos.
The most interesting thing is that most simmers still believe that we receive the aircraft in cold and dark condition all the time when, in fact, this rarely happens.
love your tutorials and video's you are my go to for all the information I need, learn something new every time. Thank you very much, very much appreciated.
Hi Emmanuel, I bought the plane yesterday and you've just done this much needed series! It's perfect! Transmission of thoughts. 😁Thanks for your top-notch channel and videos that are as useful as they are fun to watch!
That's great stuff I wish I had this content during my type rating. If I may add something : the minimum engine oil (per engine) is 0.5 qts/hour on top of a mimimum of 9.5 qts.
So far, part one has been accurate to the official procedures that I have. I'm also using Fenix, so this is very precise, especially with the EFB integration for managing performance calculations and charts. I'm using this to study, and hopefully, the next few episodes are just as accurate so I can fly the plane from RPLL to RPVM in preparation for my recurrency. It's been years... If you have the time, many Filipino pilots would benefit if you create a type rating series with RPLL--RPVM, or at least cover the LOFT check with engine failures, fires, etc.
Thanks for the tutorial! May I know what OFP format do you use? It seems not LIDO and it is very compact and clear! Hoping to use the same format as you do.
Do you have a checklist in PDF for download? I have a generic A320 checklist which definitely does the job but curious if you have one or at least know a good checklist available to download
They are guarded, in the real world you need to pull them towards you in order to be able to turn them into the off position. You can only turn them into NAV without pulling them out. It's just not visually modelled here.
Thank you for this, I really love the way you share the extra small details. Please tell me, if you are setting up in SimBrief do you add time before the flight (like 5 or 15 minutes) to give a bit of time to check everything before you need to start thinking about boarding , etc. That time might be shorter on a turn around, but I sometimes find the default SimBrief time is sometimes just enough even without the extra steps you are teaching me. Again , thank you. I am using your videos to make my Sim experience a lot richer.
@@Jannik_Stein excellent response, thank you. IRL, I’m sure the flow goes pretty quick when you scan panels or pedestals, as opposed to dragging your display around.
I usually use 35 minutes for a cold and dark start and 25 minutes for a turnaround in my sim. The 35 does not include sim startup time btw, but is from „boarding the crew“ until offblock.
Thank you very much for this valuable tutorial! I still have one question: how do you manage to look around in the cockpit to check the fire test items whilst holding der (APU) Fire Test pushbutton pressed?
Hi, you can hold the button with the left hand mouse button while using the right hand mouse button to look around. Gotta keep the left button pressed however while you're looking around.
@@doltBmByou're confusing the Secondary Flight Plan with the Nav Database. The Nav Database contains the waypoints and airways etc. as per the AIRAC cycle. This is required to be loaded onto the aircraft by maintenance. If it can be loaded in advance of the effective date, the crew can elect to use the new version rather than depart with and operate on an older one until such time the new one can be loaded.
Engineering could load in the upcoming months database beforehand. They usually do that a week or two before it goes active. When the day comes the pilots or engineers on the day will switch it over. I had to do that a couple times so far in my career. It assures a seamingless transition between databases. And if you’re wondering: NO, you do not change it „on the fly“ if you go past the datum line onto the next day. Change it on the next flight then. Updating/uploading a new database takes about 20 minutes on the 737, so it’s not something you could easily do in a turnaround.
thx, interesting to have a full walkthrough. Just detail question. In the MCDU I see you actually put in the callsign and not the actual IATA flight number is that correct? I was always wondering because the flight number could be something like LH462
Question, Do you not need to wait for the flap to be open before pressing the starter? is there anything in the manual that recomends that? have seen in many places where you need to wait for the flap open message to illuminate before pressing the starter.
When you have calculated the TOPL, are you supposed to compare it to the expected TOW (64 tons in this example, as a conservative estimate) and verify that the TOPL is greater than the expected TOW by a comfortable margin? I'm not sure what the TOPL is? Why not just compare the expected TOW with the max TOW specified by the manufacturer?
Thx for the video maybe making your cursor bigger would help people see where you’re pointing. I can’t really see it but that’s my visual issue. It’s just due to 4k screen up to you just a point. Thx for the series. it will be very useful for many people especially ppl new to fsim or Airbus

Brilliant tutorial. The best ive seen yet on the a320. You are a born teacher.
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for this. I’ve wanted a true in depth a320 tutorial for a while so I my operations are as realistic as possible.
Best tutorials for every plane on youtube! BRAVO!

Hey Emi, vielen Dank für deine Videos und die Informationen, welche du uns zur Verfügung stellst!
Sehr gerne 😊

Great to hear! The next one has just become available now!
18:44 "Dont do it" made me laugh 🤣
😂
As one of my instructors on the Airbus used to say „Don’t press that button!“ *goes on to press it himself*
I laughed out loud. Wife asleep next to me 😂
Thank you so much sir! These videos are a true gift for us flight sim pilots! Thanks once again, I am learning a lot!

Are you training with Sputnik Aviation by any chance?
@@georgeclayton Why?
Your timing is perfect, I rarely use airbus but I'd like to try the inibuilds version when it comes out. Thank you sir.
This guide is such a treat! Excellent work as per usual! Is there any substantial differences in doing this in an a320 Neo?
Thank you! There are no substantial differences to the NEO. The NEO was designed so that the same SOP can mostly be used.
Thanks! this has been helping me alot on my flight sims
A truly master class

Happy to hear that! For biz class and higher members the rest of the tutorials will be there by tomorrow!
10:35 Why are ADIRU switches not guarded in any way? I've been wondering about this for a while. This seem like pretty risky design

What’s the RL use for the 2nd database ? Is it normally a copy of primary or previous cycle?

I pressed on the second nav data in the middle of a 4 hour flight
Why does the engine params on upper ECAM go XX the moment APU is finished starting?
FADEC powers up for five minutes once AC power is applied. After those five minutes it shuts down and the sensors x out.
thx, interesting to have a full walkthrough. Just detail question. In the MCDU I see you actually put in the callsign and not the actual IATA flight number is that correct? I was always wondering because the flight number could be something like LH462

Hi, no, you do not need to wait for the flap to open. The FCOM recommends to wait 3 seconds between the MASTER and the STARTER.
