    Cool research 👍
What's sad is seeing all beautiful cars being wrecked, 😥😭
One was even a gorgeous Thunderbird 😢

yes, id say you are right here, i always noticed that reinforcement temporary brick wall built at end of carpark was made for the crash, so thought that the building it is protecting would have been a real building. Also all the neon lights as they come into the carpark and out, all looks real like filmed on location

Another DAF location that you may not know about (near Las Vegas) is from the scene where Wint and Kidd take Bond to the desert. They first drive through an underground tunnel, but where is that tunnel? It's actually at the Hoover Dam. If you take a tour inside the dam, it will look familiar...very similar to the tunnel from the movie, but not quite (smaller, narrower). When I talked to a couple of the guides and showed them the movie stills, one of them knew exactly where it was - it's an access tunnel below where the tour was taking place, and is not accessible by the public

Absolutely correct! This will feature in a new publication, scheduled for later this year!

Good eye. The driver of that Mustang during the filming was Joey Chitwood. Mr. Chitwood visited the theater in Tampa where I worked and at the time was showing Diamonds are Forever. The alleyway indeed was not in Vegas but the location escapes my memory. It was interesting hearing him discuss the planning and filming of the car chase though.

Was in Vegas back in 2003. Back then there were public telephones since not everyone had a cell phone although they did exist

You are right. I was there at the now parking lot and knew that that’s where it was filmed. I said to my fiancé, they’re wrong about the parking lot scene being filmed on the studio lot. We stayed at that spot for awhile and analyzed it. By the way, saw all the Vegas locations numerous times except Slumber exteriors in Henderson. Can you please notify me on the DAF 50th anniversary tour. I’m so excited about it happening. Can’t wait actually. Thank You so much.

Oh the Slumber exteriors, I have a funny/creepy story about that. We went to visit the Palm Mortuary in Henderson about 3 years ago, got some nice shots of the exterior...but then we went inside to see if we could get some pics there too. I don't know if they actually used the interior, but I wanted some photos anyway. The people I spoke to at the mortuary were really helpful and interested (I will not divulge their names, for reasons which will become apparent). They even had movie stills themselves to show me! I told them I wanted some photos from inside the chapel, but there was a funeral service planned that morning. But then the guy says, "well actually, the service hasn't started, and the mourners are all in a waiting room, so..." and then he takes us into the chapel which is empty except for an open casket containing the guy whose funeral it is!! He just let me snap whatever photos I wanted of the chapel, with this body just lying there...very surreal but a funny/weird memory I will treasure among my many Bond location hunting trips

Its a shame that freemont street has changed so much, I was there 4 years ago and yes as you say its totally different. Also the Hilton or 'Whyte House' is not as tall as in the film, it was a visual effect! Most disappointing...… :)
