You missed the outdoor Amber Museum that gave the history of that area and the great archeological finds with lush landscaping and waterfalls throughout. Hopefully you'll go there on your next visit. Also the slides are now $5 for an all day wrist band. Great video as always. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for being so informative, we always learn something new from you. We will be back at Amber Cove in September 2023 and plan to venture out and check out the Crew Center. In the past we have been lucky enough to get the shaded free loungers near the big pool and restrooms.
@@natashapreau9408as soon as the ship arrives, we walk to pool area and locate the lounge chairs. It's a good walk, the pier is long, through the duty free shops, then go right and follow the signs to the pool and walk towards the restrooms.
Thanks for this, very good I'm amazed at how many people who video ac and grand Turks Never show the hammocks, if there are any..um that's what I am dying for lol see you soon
There's no beach (public or otherwise) at the cruise port area. There may be beaches available outside of the cruise port area, but you would need to take a taxi for access.
According to the rental sign we saw, the "VIP Packages" started at $50 and went up to $200 during our visit. Unfortunately, the sign did not have any details about the packages or what was included.
Thank you! We are stopping at Amber Cove in August for the first time. Because the port is controlled by Carnival, do you know if the excursions offered off the ship also have the guarantee that the ship will not leave late returning passengers? Any excursion or exploration recommendations for two 50-somethings and a 70-something that doesn't involve an extensive amount of walking in August carribbean heat?
Excursions offered through your ship will include the guarantee. For anything offered through third parties, you'll need to read the specific terms and conditions for the excursion you're considering.
During our visit, we were able to use the store with no issues and there were other passengers there as well. They had several signs throughout the port advertising for guests to visit. Nothing we saw indicated it might be for crew only... other than the name. :)
Yes, it is specifically for the crew of the ship. Passengers are not to be back there. It is a place where the crew can get respite from the passengers. As is the little shop where the crew can purchase items they can't get on the ship. Notice the bags of chips such as Tostitos? Carnival Corp only sells Pringles in a can on board their ships' commissaries. So yes, that area is only for crew, hence the name.
You can see the passport stamp building when we talk about north side of Amber Cove in our previous video: th-cam.com/video/w5UE5ZiJMPc/w-d-xo.html However, be aware that they only provide souvenir stamps and the US State Department does *not* recommend souvenir stamps for your passport. You can use journals or other keepsakes for an alternative if you still want a stamp.

How early did you have to get there in order to get the shaded chairs?

Good information
Thank you for sharing the information. Is there a public beach access at the port (without renting a cabana of course)?

Hello GREAT VIDEO…would you happen to have any information on the price of VIP pool section?
According to the rental sign we saw, the "VIP Packages" started at $50 and went up to $200 during our visit. Unfortunately, the sign did not have any details about the packages or what was included.
@@TheJellyBeans THANK YOU SO MUCH 🙏🏽
Do we purchase them upon arrival ? I don’t see any options on the excursion list.
Love that port. I went to Monkey land
Thanks for this info. Can you purchase items at the Crew Center?
Yes, but you cannot use your ship card for purchases. You have to bring cash.
Do we need to purchase a ticket for the aqua zone ?
The "Aqua Zone" area we talked about is complimentary and does not require a ticket.
@@TheJellyBeans thanks again
How do we book one of the cabana huts that are over the water?
You should be able to book cabanas as a shore excursion through your cruise line.

I can tell you we were at Amber Cove last December and it was very hot 🔥.
I thought the crew center area was for crew only.

How do you pay for drinks at the swim up bar? Do I need something to keep my wallet waterproof?
You pay with cash or credit card, so you will need something to keep your wallet waterproof if you bring it with you.
