This does also fall short in analysis. Crowd psychology and crowd dynamics are a well researched and generally predictable area of science.
Knowing the target demographic means we can predict what their normal and extreme responses will be, which means we can design the rides and parks around this - and many are, particularly the wealthiest ones with the highest daily visit counts which include both anti and counter surge designs for people rushing to get to or events and people trying to evacuate in an emergency equally.
Even if we were as efficient with these descriptions as the rest of the video, that would only add 40 seconds extra description per event?

    1. No clickbait. If you're going to talk about an accident, you talk about that accident.

If any system is going to result in corner cutting, it's going to be the crappy communist system where the government tells you how much you can charge for something. What really happened is the "normalization of deviance" where someone stops following the proper procedure, doesn't notice anything right way, and soon enough everyone keeps doing it because "oh, it's just as effective and saves time". This is because teenagers whose brains haven't fully developed (like yours) can't see/don't care about the long term ramifications of their actions until the chicken come home to roost.

ALL of them. Simple as that. If maintenance had been performed as specified by ride manufacturers - no accident. If park employees felt empowered to remove a guest who should not ride - no accident. If guests who don’t fit the the parameters of a rider and accepted they should not ride - no accident. If guests obeyed the safety signs and safety barriers meant to ensure their safety - no accident. None of these were caused by an “act of god”. I’ve yet to find an amusement accident that was unavoidable.

The New Texas Giant accident wasn't "explained in detail," on this poor video, in spite of the cause being well known. The deceased riders torso was not underneath the lap bar but riding on top of it. Therefore, she was not restrained and came out from under the lap bar easily. The controversy over this accident is that one or more employees likely noticed this dangerous situation, but didn't use logic & common sense to figure out that the rider could leave her seat even though the lap bar was down & locked properly. Employees might've been reluctant to call attention to this, not wanting to refuse the lady her ride or embarrass her due to her obesity. There were no mechanical problems with New Texas Giant that day. The amusement industry did learn a valuable lesson over this accident and parks worldwide have initiated measures to prevent this from happening again.

Yep, the operators feel victim to “chronic niceness” and it cost that lady lower body. However, at the end of the day, nobody owes you safety. Don’t trust a high school kid with your life. It wasn’t the rider’s fault per say, but she should have known her limits.

@@davemccage7918what a dumb mindset to have on that incident. Regardless of their ages it is Six flags responsibility to provide a safe environment. She didn't speak much english and it's reported that she did ask to be double checked and let off and they reassured her. So yea she was concerned for her safety. I've gone to that six flags many times since childhood and many of the people employed there were people I had studied with. That park was slacking on safety and overall just knowledgeable staff until this incident lost them even more money and slapped them in the faces.
