I just picked one up. I would like to preconfigure it in my house while connected to an HDMI monitor and Bluetooth keyboard. The Ottocast website claims the HDMI port can be used with a headrest monitor and a home TV setup as multimedia center. I preconfigured the Bluetooth keyboard while in my car. When in my house the Ottocast p3 will not power up when connected to a USBC power source. I also hit the power button. Can you confirm the home multimedia functionality ? I would like to configure everything in my house. I may also 3D print a dock for my RAV4 and home entertainment center.

Is it possible to have the device connect to the internet via mobile phone, but not have to start a hotspot everytime? Is there a way to have it auto connect using Bluetooth/wifi, the same way Android auto connects to the internet without starting a hotspot
I really don’t see the point in this. If your vehicle already has Apple Car play. Adding CarPlay to vehicles that don’t already have it makes more sense to me.

You can only do this by inserting a sim card into the product.
i bought it for my ix bmw but it doesn't work, very frustrated, the customer service isn't helpfull to help
This product is not suitable for BMW, we have special products for BMW cars.
