Hi Rob, just wanted to get in touch and say thankyou again for your plasma table build videos, which have helped me to build my own. I have created a TH-cam channel for my business (Rusty's Metal Cut Signs & Designs) where I've uploaded the video series on how I built my own table. Part 6, of the table actually cutting some metal, will be uploaded shortly. If you look closely, my table looks a bit like yours!! PS: I had previously commented on your videos, under my other channel, Rusty's Outback Adventures. My new channel is dedicated to my plasma cutting business....hence the new channel name that I've commented using today. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and your family.
A self centering steady rest with roller guides would be perfect to hold the tubing and copper braided flat band on flat chuck spacer wrapped half over it with a 1 lbs weight hanging down with ground to plasma I use wd40 on my chuck spacer and works flawless. Very neat job nice work Rob
It does and it doesn't. I run myplasm on my 8ftx4ft would not run anything else. I've spoken to Lukas and he says it's still very much beta. When we get better functionality I'll jump ship 😆 🤣
The ohmic sensor cap is a spare. I'm using mach three and it doesn't directly support ohmic.....unless I'm missing something, so I use floating head limit switch for the probe input. Hope this helps
Looking good, Rob. That is going to be a great addition to your workshop. I do love the control box stand with laptop....mind if I borrow that for my plasma cutting table???
@@robbroomfield468 My table is very close to finishing....just wiring the motors and homing switches into the electronics cabinet and it will be 'all systems go! Then the fun starts on setting the whole thing up.
I see so much potential here. Perhaps a thin marker could be substituted so you can measure the holes roundness. Or if you have a drag engraver you could really measure the exact hole sizes.

Nice Rob, Might need one of those fancy holders for the end. I'm boding my torch holder again for stiffness.
Good luck with your build!
Yeah, agreed. Need a breakout for sure. One of the reasons I 3d printed it.......breakability 😆
@@robbroomfield468 nice work ! What are you using as Cam software for pipe cutting?
Using sheetcam rotary. It's pretty good.
Fantastic Rob 👌👌

nice work! You should chuck the Mach 3 all together and try hooking up a myplasm unit. It has tube cutting as a built in feature.

Hey.......check my new vid. Mach3 was too cumbersome. Thanks for the heads up 😅
Could i ask ,why this tube plasma is floating plasma head, why ohmic sensor is not enought?

Go for it. Just seemed a simple way of housing the electronics and giving me a free laptop stand 😆

Let me know if you need any help 😆
@@robbroomfield468 thankyou for the offer...I'll keep in touch.
Rob do you still have your welding shop
Yes indeed I do. I will be showing off all the things going on there soon.
Can you cut compound ends like pipe coped ends?
Hi Bradley
Yes you can. What I found was finding software that allowed you to unfold the shape you need. But it is definitely capable. Rob

I'll be working on the accuracy over the coming weeks......so standby. 😆
