Wow what fun is going down in Otter Creek. It was another day of getting a jump on the soon to be festival that will be here before you know it. You will continue to see the start of the layout along with jumping forward to the next step and start advertising. Also, we explore a few ideas to help get the town moving back in the right direction. I hope you have fun and enjoy. Be sure to like, leave a comment and make sure you are still subscribed.

I’m truly sorry the “neighbors” have to be joy stealers. I’m guessing it’s because they don’t know what joy is they have to steal it from people so they can be as miserable as the “neighbors!”

Going to take a lot of hard work to clean up the overgrowth in those areas you mentioned. Cutting down the scrub oaks and removing the trash from around the old buildings. I wish you tons of luck with your ideas. You’re going to need a lot of good workers with chainsaws,clippers,rakes,shovels and strong backs.

Willis get some big led daylight bright lights shine over the road at night to light up roadway from top of the trees shining down from about 25 feet up that generally fixes neighbors right up.
I want to help bring back the railroad depot! Might end up making a museum or something cool!

It seems like it would be a great idea to have the festival downtown, in that huge open space in front of the old train depot and OC Woodworks. That way, the cleared buildings hold be showcased and that large open space would be so beneficial! The festival would make sense at that old downtown.
We cannot block off any residents with street closers
should see if you could get a couple of school bus to transport people to the event and back to cars.
Or hay wagons or golf carts

Travis, you should put Tube Town flags on the hood of your truck so it looks like a diplomat vehicle when Mayor Shane is driving. Maybe one says tube town and the other mayor.

Our town has an Iron Horse festival every year. It’s also centered around the history of the railroad. There was a working railroad shop here until about 20 years ago. Our hospital donated money for headline entertainment. The first headliner was Ray Charles.

That historical photo was awesome! So glad you've volunteered to help out with the First Annual Otter Creek Railroad Festival! Everybody knows you work your butt off! I hope you get permission to tame that jungle around the old depot. It would be fabulous if someone could get an old rail car hauled in for the kids to walk through. Maybe there's a museum that would loan one out for the weekend. Florida has a few railroad museums including one in Parish, Florida, and the West Florida Railroad Museum in Milton. It would be cool if some enthusiasts set up a tabletop train set too. In the 80s, we used to ride the old steam train from Birmingham to Chattanooga & back.

That's so awesome that Otter Creek is finally growing !!! That's a good idea Travis wanting to clean up those old buildings & houses. I like how Otter Creek looked in the old days, it was cute !!! It could be cute again. Most of the depots in the mountains of Buncombe County are arts & craft museums !!! Love the one in the little town of Black Mountain where we used to live & they have lots of beautiful art & crafts & I have bought several things from it !!!! Maybe do the same with the depot there & I bet Otter Creek has a lot of talented people !!! Enjoyed your video Travis !!! 🙂🤠

Had a blast yesterday off the coast of Naples Florida catching red snapper...loving my visit to Florida but look forward to retreating back into the mountains of East Tennessee. The A/C is essential here for sure....stay safe and hydrated Travis and be adventurous.
