Just wanted to let you guys know that I just found your channel recently and spent all weekend watching the different videos that you’ve put out. I am a 78 year old great grandma so maybe I’m not your typical viewer; however, I’m so tired of all the sad and bad news that it’s wonderful and inspiring to watch somebody do something good in the world.
Your right Fancy Pants. I’m not to far behind you and I get overjoyed to see such great acts of good faith like this gentleman does and accept no currency but to encourage people to support the Cystic Fibrosis research. Good for good!
If this man was doing my yard for free, I would be out there helping by removing the cut up branches, giving him lemonade, food something. Sir you are truly a blessing to others.
I worked as a Landscaper for 4 years, and I can tell you this guy is an excellent worker. His technique, the order of priorities and the care he does the job with is simply amazing. Good job!
Yeah not bad for hedge trimmer and strimmer guy but love to see him do it the classic way with a turk scythe ,tree loppers, hedge shears etc. Nothing powered only muscle.
I've watched so many of his videos, and he never complains or disrespects the occupants. He never judges them, as if he truly understood that every person has his/her own story. You never know people's circumstances that result in that kind of jungle outside
Some of these yards, they should be bailing the hay and selling it. Al does a great job, but I think a good raking would help revive, the grass. That takes a lot of extra time, I am sure.

Hi al. I'm really glad that you are spreading the word about CF. My brother died at the age of 32 from CF. That disease is the worst, and the suffering that comes with is just awful. I shed a tear wrighting this. I feel so bad for your nephew. God bless him and god bless you Al. For getting the word out about CF and for all the kind help you give to others. ❤
Al you do such quality yard work. America needs more people like you son. God is not only blessing you but also the people you help & those of us who understand what motivates you to be so kind hearted.
Something I've noticed, this only like my 10th video I've seen of him, when he gets a really overgrown lawn he never tries to get it done quick. He's such a patient man and does the work almost slower than easier ones. He protects his equipment, the customers lawn and property, to do what he does in such a meticulous way he must be a very patient man.
That is just normal for people who enjoy gardening. I have never met a single stressed out gardener, unless he just finished working, and gets home to relax......... then the woman starts xD

I'm a handyman and cut a lot's of yard's on my day's ,the least i want to, is spent time looking at some dude cutting grass, But OMG Kid, i could't stop watching this one for the whole 57:03 min, at 67 yo, you even got me motivated to continue yard work, out of five stars i have to give you a six plus,You're a" Great to help" to other's, Just remember ,safety first, your family need's you too,God bless you and family and i wish you nephew get well soon. As an avid lawn maintenance/landscaping hobbyist, I find your videos quite "oddly satisfying." Taking a total mess of a yard and over time... taking it from a MESSterpiece to a MASTERpiece! Kudos!
you do realize these free cleanup videos aren't done for free -they're huge money makers for YT ads. Without that, these don't happen. These videos often have over a million hits and generate far more than a yard service would get paid to do the work without a video.

Everyone is trying to make a bag online or become a social media influencer because it takes such little effort, meanwhile industrys with hard labor are cutting hours because it's proving too difficult to find people that will work a 42 hour week. Hell, some companies in my area are only operating Monday-Thursday now.. The new generation doesn't have the motivation for a hard graft.

Truly, because what he does cuts down on unwanted critters like snakes and mice and raccoons by removing the hiding places and it cuts down on the feeling that a renter or owner may have of frustration and being overwhelmed which can create mental health problems or add to existing mental health conditions. Wow, that was like watching a full length movie. For one person, that was an overwhelming task, but you came out again, like a shining star, helping out your community. You should receive a standing ovation for cleaning up that hot mess. Great job, as usual !!!! Even the fence was smiling, first time it's seen the light of day in years. Nice also that the resident and the landlord helped you out a bit.
I have a lawn and landscaping business in Michigan around the Ann Arbor area. There's been a few instances where I've done yards worse than this and it's a humbling experience when you can hear the story of why the customer couldn't keep up with their property. It sets a humility factor of understanding that we're not all blessed the same. But that's why God puts us here; to help and serve others.
As everyone says, you and AP are such amazing people, a true blessing, inspiration and miracle. My wife and I would like to say thank you for being the greatest babysitter of all time it has become a family tradition every night by my son's request who is 2 years old to watch "Guy Mower Al". You have shown yourself to be one of the kindest people in this world, and then after hearing your reason for painting your mower...you are a legend, Al. Words cannot describe the amount of good that you are giving to this world, not just for the people whose lawns you help them with, but for everyone that has your content come across their page. Thank you for supporting CFF/Great Strides. I had two sons with CF. They both grew up and eventually had lung transplants. They lived into their mid-30's, something that was unheard of years ago. Thanks to research supported by CFF, the treatments are getting better every year and people are living nearly normal lives.

Al man that's an awesome job. I've done landscaping for 18 years and before that I was in the yard working with my family. It's not easy work and what you do for people is amazing. I've been recently thinking of ways for me and my 13 yr old son to give back to the community and to people who needs help and I came across this video. I've watched a few of your videos before but never dawned on me that this could be what I can do to give back. I'm sure you motivate more people than just myself and you to be thanked for that. @@theglowcloud2215 I don't necessarily agree that's the reason, but it could be. You never know what the situation is. A real slumlord probably wouldn't bother to help, or offer anyone a think red dime to cut it. He seemed genuinely grateful and took advantage of the help.

People are using his kindness as a weakness they couldn't even pick up the crap in their yard and help him just go inside and go on her phone the owners are lazy and they're taking advantage of him which is pretty sad... But I guess everyone sees things different.

@@undead4543 the landlord came by and explained that the owner was an elderly woman who grew Ill. Which would explain how the yard became the way it was. I bought a house with a yard like this once, and I lived on it for a year before I even had the right equipment to attack it. Obviously it killed my push mower, a d a weed Wacker can only go so far.

I’ve been watching this video of yours for 47+ minutes and I’m truly impressed with your skills. As I recall it, you’ve only had one stall-out with the string trimmer and I don’t know of any other lawn care folks with that ability. You’re to absolutely be commended for taking on this project because that back yard was probably the worst one I recall. It was more like an overgrown field. You took the time to carefully clear out stuff from the carport to get the mower back there, and moved it all neatly back under the carport when you were done. You Sir, are more than a true professional and certainly a kind-hearted man. I don’t know what you’re life’s philosophy is but we need many more folks like you in this ole world. Thank you for showing us there are still honest, mature, reasonable people in the world.

When you help people, truly out of love, not for any selfish motivation, then excuses don't matter to you, just solving the problem does. Their excuses for their problem, are no different than your excuses you make for your problems. Its called extending people a little grace and not judging them.

to everyone making comments shaming the woman in this video for allegedly not helping, she is a close relative of mine and i know for a fact this woman gave him water and even asked in the video if he needed anything. the reason this yard was like this was because she had just moved in 2 days before this was recorded and the previous tenants were druggies and hoarders that had completely abandoned the lawn for years you can also see in parts of the video her helping move stuff out of the way, she was so thankful for this guy doing her lawn and still talks about it whenever she gets the chance. before making mean comments about her please acknowledge that you do not know the full story, this woman has performed miracles on this house and it is amazing how she turned this crack den into a beautiful home ❤
Thank you for more insight on the conditions of the house. I heard her telling him if he needed anything to let her know. It also sounded like the landlord had family health issues -in-law or something like that. I couldn’t believe the amount of stuff in the yard and garage area. I couldn’t believe the amount of stuff in the grass and buried next to the garage/shed. Fencing didn’t look too good in some areas as well. If the outside of the home was left in that condition, I can’t imagine what the inside was like before she moved in. Hopefully she is able to enjoy her house now, as that looks like a pretty big yard.
People are cruel and only see what they want to. For Al and the other landscapers that go around helping people for free the landscapers are miracle workers, they don't have to help people but they have kind hearts 97% of the properties they do are from people who are physically unable to do the work as well as don't have the income to pay someone to do the work. The landscapers are a blessing to the people. The other 3% are abandoned properties and Al and the other landscapers that do as Al does do it I believe more for the neighborhood. So being a blessing and doing what they do helps multiple people in the neighborhood.
She and the landlord could have at least moved things so that he could get his mower through. The only time I saw her out was walking around with the phone in her ear! And then, when his job was completed, he had to move it all back under the carport by himself until she came out and helped when he was half finished!😡 That man works tirelessly to clean up those yards that look like a jungle! Those kind of neglected yards are good breeding grounds for snakes, rats, spiders and other species of insects.🤷🏻♀️
In the beginning she said the other tenants. People just need to listen . She’s the first person I’ve ever seen helping move and someone helping pick up so if the garbage left behind. Al, I want to say to you, I will be keeping your nephew in my prayers🙏. I’m so sorry for his diagnosis. One of my sister has been diagnosed with ALS💔. She is 73 and they were surprised she had it this late in life. It’s been almost 9 months now and she can’t no longer stand, walk, and is starting to have a hard time sitting without her head falling down or her body leaning side ways. You are such an angel to so mand, God Bless You🙏

Typcial woman. That's why you won't find a video about a woman mowing any lawn for free. I bet there is less than 1% of women owning lawnmowing businesses in the first place, because they talk about equality, but dirty jobs like this are not what they want.
That is a thing you should ALWAYS do before trimming. So that a blade doesn't hit a brick, some metal or even large piece of wood. Only problem with 'cleaning' before trimming are snakes and other venomous animals that can sting you. My advice is ALWAYS wear waterproofed boots, deep-one that can cover your knees also from anything...even the rocks that are hitting your shoes can be painful sometimes. Greetings from Serbia
I was in the lawn care business for 31 years and encountered many yards that were in this bad of a shape. Hats off to this guy for knowing exactly how to use his equipment in the most optimum way. With a yard in this bad of shape not only do you need to have good equipment but you also got to know how to use it.

A young entrepreneur with a landscaping business creating entertaining content on youtube by helping people contrasted with a homeowner who won't lift a finger to help him move their crap so he can get the mower in the backyard to mow their lawn for FREE. I can't agree with you more. The first thing that i saw was unselfish Al doing his best to clean the horrible mess of a yard and the tenant and landlord aren't even helping to shift all their items out of the way.
Did you ever think for a second, That resedent might be in a wheel chair A veteran who lost his legs fighting for your freedoms, Or old and retired. With mobility issues. Or he was told not to help for his own safty. And the pros liability issue's. And or he was just so ashamed he let his yard get like this he didn't want to show his own face. I've got a 42" snowblower for my tractor 2 passes my driveways done i often will do a negibors driveway with it just for fun. At age 61 it takes me 2 hours to change over to it each season, if I was a 20 year old kid it take 20 min. But you put this on anyway. Becuse if you get a 6" snow fall your trapped in your house becuse at age 61 you dont need to be out shoveling snow. The negibors drive i did with it is in his 20s maybe 30s he might mow his yard once a month if that and he always has to barrow a mower to do it. I could do it with my tractor in 30 min but he's never asked. I've got 2 maybe 3 push mowers I should give him one. But ive never talked to him. The guy lives right acrossed from me.
Wow, Al. For you to tackle that "nightmare" all by yourself was quite an undertaking, but as usual, you got it all cleaned up and looking great. That was an awful large amount of hand work to do. You're so kind to do that work to help others. I can certainly understand why no one else the fellow contacted wanted to undertake such a big job. You're a good man for helping others.

@@YeshuaCameAndGaveUsLifeandLove I wouldn't go that far but it definitely pays more than what he would get for charging to cut the yard. It costs the land owners nothing, it costs us nothing... All he has to do is cut the yard, all we have to do is like and subscribe, and TH-cam/advertisers pay up so that we can enjoy the content, and the landowners get a fresh cut yard. It's a beautiful arrangement really.

Depends on the rental agreement. Some home rental agreements stipulate that lawn care is done by the tenant. Maybe they offer a discount if the tenant maintains the lawn. It's a risky move for the landlord if it's a halfway decent lawn. I doubt most home renters have the proper equipment and even if they did likely wouldn't maintain it properly anyway.
Maintaining your home is not what any LL does. This reflects not at all on anyone except the renter. Many times mowing can be included in the rent, but that adds costs to the rental for the renter. Given this existed from the previous delinquent, I am surprised the lady took the house in that condition, but I am happy she did knowing, and pursuing a remedy.

I just got a whole lot of respect for the work you do, I never really thought about it before but when I see guys riding around on these mowers I smile and think about how sweet your job is. Outside, nice weather, your own boss etc, but this just shocked me. Please Forgive my ignorance. I have a totally different perspective now.
At one point I know it was super hard to get service people to mow yards cause they didn't have many people or were overbooked, cause the front yard looks nice.

Something I've noticed, this only like my 10th video I've seen of him, when he gets a really overgrown lawn he never tries to get it done quick. He's such a patient man and does the work almost slower than easier ones. He protects his equipment, the customers lawn and property, to do what he does in such a meticulous way he must be a very patient man.
That is just normal for people who enjoy gardening. I have never met a single stressed out gardener, unless he just finished working, and gets home to relax......... then the woman starts xD

I have a lawn and landscaping business in Michigan around the Ann Arbor area. There's been a few instances where I've done yards worse than this and it's a humbling experience when you can hear the story of why the customer couldn't keep up with their property. It sets a humility factor of understanding that we're not all blessed the same. But that's why God puts us here; to help and serve others.

Thank you for supporting CFF/Great Strides. I had two sons with CF. They both grew up and eventually had lung transplants. They lived into their mid-30's, something that was unheard of years ago. Thanks to research supported by CFF, the treatments are getting better every year and people are living nearly normal lives.

I bought a house with a yard like this once, and I lived on it for a year before I even had the right equipment to attack it. Obviously it killed my push mower, a d a weed Wacker can only go so far.

I’ve been watching this video of yours for 47+ minutes and I’m truly impressed with your skills. As I recall it, you’ve only had one stall-out with the string trimmer and I don’t know of any other lawn care folks with that ability. You’re to absolutely be commended for taking on this project because that back yard was probably the worst one I recall. It was more like an overgrown field. You took the time to carefully clear out stuff from the carport to get the mower back there, and moved it all neatly back under the carport when you were done. You Sir, are more than a true professional and certainly a kind-hearted man. I don’t know what you’re life’s philosophy is but we need many more folks like you in this ole world. Thank you for showing us there are still honest, mature, reasonable people in the world.

to everyone making comments shaming the woman in this video for allegedly not helping, she is a close relative of mine and i know for a fact this woman gave him water and even asked in the video if he needed anything. the reason this yard was like this was because she had just moved in 2 days before this was recorded and the previous tenants were druggies and hoarders that had completely abandoned the lawn for years
you can also see in parts of the video her helping move stuff out of the way, she was so thankful for this guy doing her lawn and still talks about it whenever she gets the chance. before making mean comments about her please acknowledge that you do not know the full story, this woman has performed miracles on this house and it is amazing how she turned this crack den into a beautiful home ❤
Thank you for more insight on the conditions of the house. I heard her telling him if he needed anything to let her know. It also sounded like the landlord had family health issues -in-law or something like that. I couldn’t believe the amount of stuff in the yard and garage area. I couldn’t believe the amount of stuff in the grass and buried next to the garage/shed. Fencing didn’t look too good in some areas as well. If the outside of the home was left in that condition, I can’t imagine what the inside was like before she moved in. Hopefully she is able to enjoy her house now, as that looks like a pretty big yard.
People are cruel and only see what they want to. For Al and the other landscapers that go around helping people for free the landscapers are miracle workers, they don't have to help people but they have kind hearts 97% of the properties they do are from people who are physically unable to do the work as well as don't have the income to pay someone to do the work. The landscapers are a blessing to the people. The other 3% are abandoned properties and Al and the other landscapers that do as Al does do it I believe more for the neighborhood. So being a blessing and doing what they do helps multiple people in the neighborhood.
She and the landlord could have at least moved things so that he could get his mower through. The only time I saw her out was walking around with the phone in her ear! And then, when his job was completed, he had to move it all back under the carport by himself until she came out and helped when he was half finished!😡 That man works tirelessly to clean up those yards that look like a jungle! Those kind of neglected yards are good breeding grounds for snakes, rats, spiders and other species of insects.🤷🏻♀️

In the beginning she said the other tenants. People just need to listen . She’s the first person I’ve ever seen helping move and someone helping pick up so if the garbage left behind. Al, I want to say to you, I will be keeping your nephew in my prayers🙏. I’m so sorry for his diagnosis. One of my sister has been diagnosed with ALS💔. She is 73 and they were surprised she had it this late in life. It’s been almost 9 months now and she can’t no longer stand, walk, and is starting to have a hard time sitting without her head falling down or her body leaning side ways. Typcial woman. That's why you won't find a video about a woman mowing any lawn for free. I bet there is less than 1% of women owning lawnmowing businesses in the first place, because they talk about equality, but dirty jobs like this are not what they want.
SHE'S A LAZY BROAD.
That is a thing you should ALWAYS do before trimming. So that a blade doesn't hit a brick, some metal or even large piece of wood. Only problem with 'cleaning' before trimming are snakes and other venomous animals that can sting you. My advice is ALWAYS wear waterproofed boots, deep-one that can cover your knees also from anything...even the rocks that are hitting your shoes can be painful sometimes.

I was in the lawn care business for 31 years and encountered many yards that were in this bad of a shape. Hats off to this guy for knowing exactly how to use his equipment in the most optimum way. With a yard in this bad of shape not only do you need to have good equipment but you also got to know how to use it.

I've got a 42" snowblower for my tractor
2 passes my driveways done i often will do a negibors driveway with it just for fun.
At age 61 it takes me 2 hours to change over to it each season, if I was a 20 year old kid it take 20 min.
But you put this on anyway. Becuse if you get a 6" snow fall your trapped in your house becuse at age 61 you dont need to be out shoveling snow.
The negibors drive i did with it is in his 20s maybe 30s he might mow his yard once a month if that and he always has to barrow a mower to do it.
I could do it with my tractor in 30 min but he's never asked.
I've got 2 maybe 3 push mowers I should give him one. But ive never talked to him.

All he has to do is cut the yard, all we have to do is like and subscribe, and TH-cam/advertisers pay up so that we can enjoy the content, and the landowners get a fresh cut yard. It's a beautiful arrangement really.

Depends on the rental agreement. Some home rental agreements stipulate that lawn care is done by the tenant. Maybe they offer a discount if the tenant maintains the lawn. It's a risky move for the landlord if it's a halfway decent lawn. I doubt most home renters have the proper equipment and even if they did likely wouldn't maintain it properly anyway.
Maintaining your home is not what any LL does. This reflects not at all on anyone except the renter. Many times mowing can be included in the rent, but that adds costs to the rental for the renter. Given this existed from the previous delinquent, I am surprised the lady took the house in that condition, but I am happy she did knowing, and pursuing a remedy.

The landlord said he tried getting someone to cut it but know one wanted to. So God sent and angel 😇 to cut it.
At one point I know it was super hard to get service people to mow yards cause they didn't have many people or were overbooked, cause the front yard looks nice.
