That my friend is called a tap root. It goes straight down the stump to the center of the earth and is very hard to dig out. I know these stumps were there for a long time , but if you're cutting the tree down and plan on digging the stumps with your BH, cut the tree off as high as you can reach safely off the ground. That long stump sticking up while you dig gives you wonderful leverage to pry, push, and pull on, and something to wrap a chain around if you want to pull that way, even out of the hole.
I've seen others do that. I will be certain to do it myself if I cut any trees down. Unfortunately this tree was cut before I purchased the property. Thanks for watching.
Your going to love that tractor. They have some quirks that you will need to attend to though. Check all your hydro lines and wire harness , they have spots on the frame that they will rub.
G Garden I had one hose that ended up dragging the ground with out me knowing. Didn’t run through but definitely a great thing to point out! I’ve got to where I just keep all my connections on the foot platform of the backhoe. I love my RK24
RK24 is a super handy machine, I’m stuck between buying the backhoe attachment for it or buying a Chinese mini excavator. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
It has been great so far. Got a couple more videos coming out about it. Picked up a finish mower for it not that long ago. I keep finding uses for it around the property.
Can you tell me where the lines that run to the backhoe hook up on tractor? I just purchased the backhoe for mine but no instructions on where to hook my lines
Do you wish you had bought a larger tractor? Are the hydraulics jerky on the tractor - like is it hard to be smooth the backhoe because of the hydraulics?
311hitwall yes I have but in the 13 months I’ve owned my RK24 there may have been 5 times? Like trying to skid a big log instead of cutting it in 2 pieces or trying to box scrape Carolina clay sand rock that hasn’t seen water in a month. The RK24 is much more powerful than what the ratings say.
I hope these green horns have enough sense to call Miss dig before digging with these toy backhoes... Cutting a gas line or underground power line could really light up your life. Good luck 🍀

The tractor as you see it was right around $20,000. It has a mid mount PTO where you can get a drive over deck style mower and mow that way. Or you can remove the backhoe and hook something up to the rear PTO.

I've learned from digging many stumps that aren't ready to be dug... expose the big roots and whack them with an axe. Nice vid. Thanks
I got an RK24 identical to yours the other day, did the exact same thing with that jaw trying to adjust it lol it almost got me in the noggin!
I gave you a thumbs up just for being the best dressed tractor operator on TH-cam.
Well thank you. I appreciate that. Thanks for watching.
LOOKS LIKE A SHIT LOAD OF FUN

I have the Tym 254, same unit and its 100% a great purchase, Wish Rural King stores were in my area
I'm glad to hear you like your tractor. I really appreciate mine.
Nice machine and great video
Thank you and thanks for watching!

not enough power

then you probably should not have one.
@@davidkettell5726 fortunately I hooked the lines up and trialed the levers til it worked as it should
Glad you worked through it. Experience is the best teacher.👍🏻
Nice video,thanks .

311hitwall they definitely take some getting used to! They’re not as smooth as an excavator but man it’s nice!
@@JPLawnsMore So you haven't run into a situation where you thought man I wish this thing was bigger?

@@JPLawnsMore So are you the same person doing the video? Just noticed the name is different?
311hitwall no I’m not the same person in this video but you have watched my video about the RK24.

I called Miss dig and they said I must live in Mississippi.
"Giant root I'm dealin with" Are you bragging or complaining?
YOU COULD USE A LEVEL INDICATOR...MAKE IT YOURSELF EASY
Bigwingrider1800, I would love a laser level. It's on my list of future purchases.
Use the thumb!!!
What kind of money did that machine run you? And can it mow with the backhoe on?
