Thwaites Mill Weir Fish Pass River Aire

Thwaites Mill weir collapsed during a storm in 1975 so giving the fish 10 years of freedom before being re built in 1985.
It is about 5ft high and has a pool and weir type fish pass on the left bank. The first step up is quite high so the fish will have trouble getting into the fish pass. It should at least be replaced by a larinier type fish pass or better still the weir should be knocked down.
