This has to be the most quiet, peaceful cemetery that I have ever seen. I am not sure if there is a natural cemetery close to where I live. Thank you Sue, great video.
"From dust we came and dust we shall return!" Natural is an understatement. If there was no sign, no one would ever know it's a cemetery. Serenity at it's finest. What more peaceful rest is there. Much respect Serenity Sue 💯
What an amazing place for your last and longest sleep..I wish there was more of these places.I am not sure if we have one in England.I don’t think there’s one by where I am most are Churchyards or crematoriums. This is so quiet and peaceful and gives back to the land too.Thank you for the walk around it was really lovely Sue ..Love n Light 🥰
What a lovely place ❣ How beautiful are the words " Deep peace of the quiet earth to you " I would like that on my marker. No name, no dates, just that. Thankyou for another great video. 😎
The green natural burial grounds are gaining popularity here in America. Me personal i think it is a great idea. From dust we were made to dust we return. That is God's way. Thanx Sue for a beautiful walk. I so enjoyed it.❤😊❤😊
I hope when my time is up i can rest in a place like this with a tree planted on my grave, oh and im sure Caitlyn Doughty would approve this beautiful place. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Caitlyn would definitely approve! She's trying to educate people on the value of a natural burial. I'd sign up in a heart beat for a spot if it were offered here.
Beautiful video Sue I haven't seen anything quite like this before very beautiful of the people's makers I enjoyed watching your video hope you have lovely day😀
Hi Sue..I was just in your chat and you referred me to this video. This is how I wish to be buried…reed basket, etc. My 3 sons are going with me to pick out a place. They will plant a tree. And They want it to be a family plot, which I am so very flattered to hear. Please don’t think this is morbid, but I have read several accounts of dogs that are trained to track the scent of missing people have been known to go to the branches and leaves of a tree long after the person was buried beneath it. Apparently the tree is fortified with the nutrients from the body and they can smell it in the living tree. They dig and find remains..I found this fascinating. Our physical bodies die and decay, yet we are still part of nature. Tho our souls move on..we become part of everything. I think it’s so beautiful
Thanks Sue! What a wonderful video! It's great people are going back to the natural burial, or scattering of the ashes, instead of being placed in a concrete box to remain separated from returning to nature. Or worse yet, having a large structure built to hold many bodies from returning to nature. Having a place like this, is very beautiful, and very peaceful.
Now this is beautiful. Natural resting place. I live in a town of 8,000, three cemeteries going back to early 1800's. Very impersonal care. Lawnmowers and weedwhackers hired by the town. (Whitefield, New Hampshire). I love the natural look. Reassuring that there is comfort as we pass on to the next. I am at a loss for words. Thank you.
I wish there were a place like this in my city! I would opt for a natural burial as I am not going to be embalmed anyways! Love your videos and I love Ireland! Thanks for sharing!
A beautiful place, I have never seen or even heard of a natural burial ground before. Back to Nature and Mother Earth looks good to me. Thank you for sharing 💕🇦🇺
What a BEAUTIFUL and peaceful cemetery!! I would love to be buried somewhere like this - hopefully, not for a VERY long time though!! Take care, and stay safe everyone!! XXXX
Loved this video Sue,so peaceful.I’ve looked into Woodbrook to inter my friends ashes, amazing place. Have you ever been to Knockma Woodland burial ground in Galway?Im looking into that place also. Thanks again for a great video 🙏🙏🙏
@@SerenitySueGraveyards Yea it’s also a natural burial ground, but it’s got a lot more woodland than Woodbrook.I think it’s run by the same company as Woodbrook in Wexford.Keep up the good work Sue ,all the best 🙏
Sue when did Ireland start allowing natural burials. what about composite burials I saw the other that here in the states that certain states are allowing it, I suppose the undertaker's are a little worried
This was not that old, I'm guessing in the last 10 years that this has became popular this was the first I'd heard of it, don't know of any here of composite burials but I'm sure it will happen here too
Some folks are buried in a shroud only. There are some cemeteries here 🇨🇦 that have areas set aside for the natural burials but i dont know about using headstones, i think it has to be a tree planted or flowers something that blends into nature.
Hey Connie, I think this was the first of its kind in Ireland, I love this idea as it ft serene and peaceful, I was also at a natural funeral and they had a reed coffin it was stunning to see x x
The natural burial grounds are very common in the Caribbean 😢especially for those that cannot afford a concrete tomb, however they are buried in a wooden coffin 🥲
@@SerenitySueGraveyards yes it is! We have some beautiful cemeteries here in the US, but they just don't compare somehow. They're so much the same and so different. My dream vacation is going to Ireland and hanging out in the cemeteries and graveyards, seeing the places tourists don't usually go. I would like to see where my distant ancestors walked and are buried. The Carver and Lindsey families. Anyway, since I can't physically come there I can walk along with you. That's the next best thing.
I'd never heard of it until I attended a funeral and it was a natural burial, he had a Reed coffin. So I visited the area afterwards, so beautiful and serene
Very lonely cemetery. I checked on Anna Quayle, English Actress. She's quite famous during her time and won Tony Award in 1963. She resembles a little bit of Irene Dunn and Joan Crawford. Some famous people buried there.
I believe there are certain natural burial grounds in the U.S. where you can be buried in only a simple shroud - not even a reed casket. I would like to be cremated and either my ashes buried in the ground in a place like this, under a tree or a flowering bush.
I thoughtl the purpose of this type of burial was nothing more than an inscription on an old fallen tree branch or natural rock or a small piece of wood but no head stones. Those headstones will still be there after the body has gone.
That's true Connie, I never even thought of that to be honest, maybe the stone is only a marker used for a short time so they know where the person is buried 🤔

what a beautiful place to sleep forever! Most tombs are very recent

Why they don’t cut the grass in the grave areas
