- I hadn't been out on a charter boat for a couple years so when my friends invited me out, I had to go! We fished Catalina Island in hopes of finding some yellowtail or white seabass but ended up slaying the calico bass and a few barracudas. Great day of fishing and a lot of fun...Check out the video!!!

Man, way to power through the sea sickness! I’m too worried about getting sick to hop on one of those charters. I’ll stick to shore pounding and to my float tube around Alamitos Bay, Huntington and Newport. 🤙🏼
@@beedee8523 yeah bro the swells were pretty bad on the way out to the island and it got the best of me but I rarely get seasick when I take dramamine 🤷🏾♂️. Hey I hear you though 😅
Nice catches J-rome something that help me with sea sickness is the Dramamine which you had and cold water with liquid iv it helps me so hopefully it helps you if you try nice fish 🎣

Was you rig setup braid - swivel - fluoro - size 1 hook?
@@mikeb3770 yeah that was my set-up but I didn’t use a swivel, I connect my braid straight to the fluro and tied a size 1 hook and we fly lined sardines.
Would you recommend bringing some lures as well? If so, what types?
@@mikeb3770 most ppl use swimbaits, hook-up baits, and surface iron lures…I guess it really depends on what y’all are targeting.

If you get sea sick get off the boat in Catalina and get a fish taco and a beer and call it a day
