I’ve been watching DIYs for glitter/gel applications & I realized your videos are the only ones I LIKE & save. This one I loved! Thank you so much for showing us different methods & explaining everything you do 👍🏽
This is the best nail glitter application video on TH-cam! I've been looking around and everyone just encapsulate them in gel. Which is fine. But, I want to apply my loose glitters to regular nail polish and this showed me how! 👏🏽💜💅🏽💜
First time seeing your videos...Totalmente Great...Just what I been searching for how to manage the diferente glitters...Thank youuuuuuu so much...I'm from Puerto Rico ♡
Depends on what you want the finish to be like. Personally I don't mind the gritty texture without an extra layer of topcoat, but for a smooth result you can definitely add 1 to 2 layers of topcoat 😊
I like the nail polish and top coat mix because I would probably not be able to do that loose way thank you so much I’ve been dying to use my glitter on my nails but had no idea where to start.
You should definitely try the other method though ... I was intimidated by pouring the glitter too ... but when I tried it, it was actually really easy. Just make sure you do it over a sheet of paper so it’s easy to pour the fallout back into the jar 😊
@@femketjeNL any tips how I can keep the glitter from coming off? I love glittery nails, but after a few hours the stuff is everywhere :/ and if I put a top coat over them, all the glittery...ness(?) is gone so that's not a solution....HELP 😟

And that is to become a nail tech and I'm sticking to it!! 🥰 I just ordered a whole bunch of nails, tools, glitters, foils, rhinestones, storage boxes and so MUCH MORE!! Check out simply nailogical too! She has a great video on growing nails long and tips for nail polish. Also, Olive and June has a great basic starter kit and a bunch of free videos and guides. Well for some techniques you can definitely add a topcoat wouldn't really do it on top of a sugared nail but when the glitter is burnished it works well 😊
Oeh pretty! Do you always wear "heavy" nail arts? Or do you like babyboom nail art or a french manicure to? I like to see that because that soft pink polisch look so pretty!!
Personally I prefer the more heavy nails (i just love to dazzle up my nails to the max :D), but I have done a babyboom nailart a little while ago. I did add a couple of rhinestones to it but the first couple of steps are perfect for a standard babyboom design :)
Question, can you still incap the glitters with a layer of acrylic? I’m looking for a more smooth finish and I was wondering if I could do the same steps as this but finish with a layer of acrylic and a top coat? Just wondering 🤔
I am not sure if this method with regular polish will work well with acrylics on top, never used acrylics before myself so I'd suggest to just try it out and see what happens :D
Hey! Where would you recommend to purchase acrylic monumer/powder, accessories? Im a beginner so i want to make sure I have everything needed. I did purchase an acrylic kit off amazon. Just unsure what to use with glitter, jewels, etc.
Since this is an older video I don't have a working link to the foil glue anymore, but there are tons out there on aliexpress or via born pretty store :) I usually just add a regular topcoat on the glitter nail art, but not on a sugar nail (when you sprinkle on the glitter and keep the rough surface effect).
So would you put a top coat on these and put them under a UV lamp after putting the glitter on? Sorry if this is a stupid question, but im a complete novice xx

Excellent video 👍 do you follow the glitter with a layer of top coat at the end ... or does the glitter stay on without a final top coat?
Depends on what you want the finish to be like. Personally I don't mind the gritty texture without an extra layer of topcoat, but for a smooth result you can definitely add 1 to 2 layers of topcoat 😊

I used tip 5 and I've got non lumpy glitter nails for the first time ever! Thank you!
That's awesome ✨💕👍🏻
How did you get the chunky glitter to stick to the tool?
I usually dip it into some water before picking up the glitter 😊
Is this gel polish? Did you cure the nail before wiping the glitter with the brush? I was wondering how it didn’t mess up the polish underneath
No it's regular nail polish :) The base colour was already fully dry when adding the glitter mix
How does the glitter stick to the dotting tool?
You can dip it into some water 😊
@@femketjeNLdid you dip your tool in water or was it magnetic?
Awesome! Thank you.
How would you do just a little bit of glitter?
You have pretty hands!
I'd just sprinkle on a smaller amount, or apply less base etc. to the nail, like only to a specific part of the nail
That is smart how you dipped the tool in the glitter.
Thanks for the tip.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that rocks some nails different lengths/shapes because I refuse to cut them all

how long does the glitter last or when hands washed does it fall off right away?
When the nailpolish is completely dry it will not just come off easily :) It always lasts at least a full week on my nails or even longer!
any idea if I should add top coat? so it will seal the glitters
Well for some techniques you can definitely add a topcoat wouldn't really do it on top of a sugared nail but when the glitter is burnished it works well 😊

You can add a topcoat if you want to, but you don't necessarily have to. It depends on what kind of finish you'd like 😊

I only used regular polishes for these techniques, you can definitely do this with gelpolish too and top it off with topcoat 😊
Can i ask,if you put nail glitters need to put first the glue?
It definitely needs something to adhere to but you can also use nailpolish for that or a topcoat if you don't want to use glue 🙂
