My new favorite 903 Fishing video. Great teaching / tips. Thanks for also linking or showing exactly what you use to catch some slabs. That lady fish was a beast!
This is my favorite video of yours, so far! Great info and this is where my search took me when I was looking for how to setup for crappie. Just getting started in crappie fishing from the kayak and ALL of your videos are fun to watch and informative.
This my favorite most recent video. Very detailed about how to rig a slip cork. I love slip corkin. I’m glad to see that there are others that enjoy it as much as I do. Let’s Go!
Great video on the setup. By far my favorite. I was having issues with the cork beating on my weight and knocking it off after repeated cast. Your set up solved all my issues. Thanks for all the great informative videos.
My favorite video, went shopping and picked up bobbers and line. Had to wait for the acc rod and love the pascifun reel. Worth the wait just need to fish with you in person to break it in correctly!100k my man
Thanks for the lessons. I hope there are some youg fisherman out there that are learning today or this evening after school!! Tell Hannah we are all wishing her well!!!
Grew up fishing Lake Fork, Lake Palestine, Lake Jacksonville, and Stryker Lake. Nice to find your channel. I moved out of state as a young man. Now I wish I could move back for the fishing.
Caught 60 The other day. 45 throwbacks The keepers were at the edge of the brush pile on the deepest part and retrieve mostly, verticals was catching more sinks
Great video. I love those bobber stops. Never had any issues with them. I use your setup, and it works great. I use the 10lb power pro braid and split shots. Great setup. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Caleb are you kin to any Hensley ‘s in Tn. Poppa James from Jackson Tn. Is 1st cousins to them we may be related! God bless you,Jayden, and Hannah and your family!
That’s a size 1/4th for this slip cork setup. I use a 1/8th in the creeks etc. because I will also have the weight of the jig head as well and I’ll be fishing shallower like I mentioned in the video.
If you have trouble with that knot . You can also tie a polymar knot simple simple tieing knot . But you’ll need to tie the leader to the swivel first. Then tie onto the swivel with the main line . Still need to wet your knots to pull them tight .
@@903fishingUsually shallow but sometimes deep if I'm working bridge columns, I'll tie an FG knot and make a leader about 20-30 feet long. That specific brand of mono doesn't have a lot of memory either, it's always the cheaper monos like Omniflex or MrCrappie line that coil up too much which keeps your line from sliding through the bobber
Hi Caleb, great video! Would you mind sharing your Humminbird settings? I have the Helix 7 G4N Unit much like your front graph and can’t seem to “see” the fish like I see on yours. Also, do you operate in the ANGLER mode or CUSTOM mode? Any help greatly appreciated! Blessings and praying Hannah’s surgery had a great outcome!
I shave had this request several times, but honestly I use the settings out the box. I might have tweaked a few things, but that’s it. I will strongly consider making a video on my settings!
I rig this setup step by step at the beginning of this video. The bobber stop allows you to fish at whatever depth you desire. The thread with the tube on it.
any tips for us bank fisherman in these hot days of summer would be much appreciated im in South Texas here been wanting to pick up crappie fishing I primarily target big game like Gar catfish Reds im trying to switch it up get my finesse on
Summer because the water temps are hot. And crappie are more lethargic. When the fall hits, water temps drop and crappie are my aggressive and will more than likely hit a jig.
@@LeQuito I don’t usually have this problem. I don’t break off at the braid 99% of the time so I’m not usually trying to put wet braid through a slip bobber. Mono doesn’t go through a slip cork well deeper than 4-5 feet, line twist are horrible.
Thanks for watching guys! Hopefully this helps! 100K SUBSCRIBERS?? Any questions feel free to ask in the comment section! God bless!
Question? Does that new fiberglass stay in a spot better that the aluminum you used to have?

Great video Caleb, thank you for sharing your knowledge. 🎣on
Congratulations on 100K!! I usually fish Bass but I want to start hitting up some Crappie!
Thanks 903❤
Thank you for sharing your information.
Nice video! Do you have to use the 1/4 swivel or could a 1/16 or 1/32 work as well?
Great info! Love the video
Always great content
Great imfo, great video, thank you for sharing your day. God Bless
You make it look easy man.

Thanks brother
Thanks for the video it is very informative and some nice crappie there

Prayers for Hannah’s surgery today. No link to Amazon for the swivels lol

What kind of bobber stops and where can I find them please?
I show I picture of the package on the screen, when I am putting it on. Walmart and academy
@@903fishing Thanks
Awesome tutorial and catches! Summer has definitely changed the pattern here in Al, but fall is on the way!
Nice. I haven’t gone fishing on account is too hot. Gonna rig my ACC with your method and give it a try
What is the purpose of the wetting the line? Love this videos because your being very detailed. Love it. Thank you
So it will cinch down easier. Try it wetting the line and try it not wetting the line, you will see the difference.

Okay thanks for the tip. I use the same exact bobber stops, ect. But I have mono on my acc crappie stix rn. Gotta get me some braided line.
Any questions feel free to ask! Thanks for watching!
Great video I hadn't tied that knot is so long it looked weird when you did tie it lol
If you have trouble with that knot . You can also tie a polymar knot simple simple tieing knot . But you’ll need to tie the leader to the swivel first. Then tie onto the swivel with the main line . Still need to wet your knots to pull them tight .
Question: do you catch your own minnows and is that G-Juice in the bucket? Thanks for what you do and keep it coming!
No sir. The bait shop has that color water in their water already!
I've never had a problem using mono for slip corking, Trilene XL 8lb is surprisingly thin and strong.
Well you one of the lucky ones. Are you fishing deep? Or shallow only?
@@903fishingUsually shallow but sometimes deep if I'm working bridge columns, I'll tie an FG knot and make a leader about 20-30 feet long. Please tell us about your minnow bucket😊
Just a frabil 5 gallon bucket with a aerator
Wjatd happing Caleb and 903 family how is everyone doing today

Just a few quick questions: 1) What size are your slip corks? 2) What's the name of the weighted swivel? ( I didn't see it in the description)😀
They sell at Walmart 3 pack assortment $1.78 a pack. Comal brand red, yellow, green. 🎣
It’s the description now! And they are 1.5 inch
How do you know how deep you are fishing and how do you change the dept
I rig this setup step by step at the beginning of this video. The bobber stop allows you to fish at whatever depth you desire. The thread with the tube on it.
Are you fishing early mornings early right now in this Texas heat?? Afternoon bite any good after work?
I don’t go in the evenings. Too hot. Early mornings are the best for me. Period.
So Caleb you move your bobber so the hook sits right on the brush pile???
I move the Bobber stop! Not the hook. Check out my video this past week.
any tips for us bank fisherman in these hot days of summer would be much appreciated im in South Texas here been wanting to pick up crappie fishing I primarily target big game like Gar catfish Reds im trying to switch it up get my finesse on
Hard to find crappie from the bank in the summer. Maybe a spillway. I had a bank crappie summer video couple weeks ago. Check it out.
With that slip cork setup will it work with artificial and live minnows
You can use a jig instead of a minnow for sure!
When is the best time to use Minnows! Summer or Fall
Summer because the water temps are hot. And crappie are more lethargic. When the fall hits, water temps drop and crappie are my aggressive and will more than likely hit a jig.
@@903fishing Thanks for responding! God bless 🙏

@@903fishing well said, and I agree . I've been experimenting
I was using 8 stranded braid. It's super flimsy and may have been the issue
@@LeQuito ACC crappie Stix just released their line. Check them out at acccrappiestix.com
Why are you using a swivel and leader
Because I am using a slip cork. If I get hung up, I’ll just retie my hook and leader, instead of the whole setup!
There's way much easier ways to set up a rig .it takes half that time..😮
If I wasn’t filming and taking my time, I can set this rig up in less than 5 minutes. And what other rigs you talking about?
