Since Universal Studio was considering to open a theme park in Frisco during the beginning of this year, some Frisco residents
Left comments in this news video saying:
Frisco is too crowded! If this theme park build in Frisco, I am going to leave Frisco.
I read a couple of replies from 2 women like this:
That’s why I moved out of Frisco in 2015.
That’s why I moved out of Frisco in 2017.
Remember this - Money magazine ranked Frisco as “The best place to live in the USA”
In 2018 which is the year after these 2 women moved out!
Is there any connection/relation between the Frisco reward and their moving-out?

Great video. The 10-minute mark is glaringly apparent. I've worked in education throughout the DFW metroplex for many years. Let me say the problems in schools have gotten beyond of control from parents coming predominantly, you guessed it, from California. Everything from teen pregnancy to lower test scores and drug problems is coming along with these people. The toxicity they've brought is on display best in Austin, and we all certainly do not want that. Time will only tell how things will go, but it's heartbreaking to consider what Frisco (and Plano) used to be up until recently...

Thanks for sharing. It seems like these issues are popping up everywhere, beyond the borders of the DFW metro too.

People who move to Austin (generally) do so for high paying employment opportunities. Those highly skilled workers are college educated, which places them in a societally favorable demographic that boasts low teenage pregnancy rates, low overdose rates, low crime involvment, and high test scores... So what you said is actually nonsense.

Austin USED to be a wonderful place, but the huge influx of people from California has really transformed the town and NOT in a good way. Traffic, the affordability of home prices, the general weird vibe of Austin is totally gone. Once my responsibilities are finished, I'm moving out of Austin as quickly as possible.

@@MinuteMayne What I said must be nonsense? Boy don't you sound familiar?
      1-minute search as of 2021:
      (source below)
The population in Austin has grown about 4% over the last five years. According to City of Austin data, Austin's population is currently 1,010,835. Five years ago, in 2017, it was 967,629.
The KVUE Defenders also used the Chief of Police's monthly crime data to see where the City stands on crime. When we looked at the same time period, the Defenders found serious crimes were up.
As of April 2021, murders in Austin are up significantly this year. Police data shows 27 murders in 2021 year-to-date, compared to 9 year-to-date in 2017, a 200% increase.
Aggravated assaults are up 36%. There have been 1,034 year-to-date in 2021, compared to 815 over the same time period in 2017.
Car thefts have increased dramatically in the last few years, about 77% since 2017. Crime data shows there were 1,199 car thefts year-to-date in 2021 compared to 677 during the same time period in 2017.
Burglaries are down 9%. So far this year, there have been 1,388 burglaries, compared to 1,524 over the same time period in 2017.
      - - - Hey, property crime is down! That's something, right?
      ---------------------------------------------------
At least you were right about the educated worker's success, right?
According to a report by KUT Radio, the homeless population in Austin has been on the rise over the last six years1. However, the latest estimate by the Ending Community Homelessness Coalition found that the number of people experiencing homelessness in Travis County, where Austin is located, decreased from the previous count in 20201. The nonprofit found 2,374 people were unhoused in Travis County during an overnight survey known as a point-in-time count in January 2023. Despite the decrease, the nonprofit's research and evaluation manager, Claire Burrows, said that the overall trend of the Austin area's homeless population has been increasing incrementally.
      - - - I can continue disputing, but I made my point. You've captured the type of problem I mentioned perfectly. Try reading before you debate/dispute a topic people care about with pseudo-intellectualism. Peak Californian debate tactics.

Yes literally in my back yard. Moving in May. The traffic off that part of the Hwy and Eldorado will be insane. Instead of 3 minutes to get home, I estimate 20 due to traffic. Not to mention the noise. They bought up the last small ranch left in the area. So sad. Plus belongs to Corrupt Disney,

Lol first 12 minutes frisco sucks, last 4 minutes you should move here. Enjoy Arlington jr!

Yes, that’s the point lol. The first half shows what I hear a lot of people that are moving away say is the reason they are moving. The last half are the reasons I hear people are moving to Frisco. Two perspectives, same topics.
