I think this year we will realise totally that players make coaches not the other way around. The Tigers won 3 and were clearly the best in 2018 and it was the players that drove that. I never really trusted Hardwicke after his misdemeanors while at Richmond. He was preaching family and trust but doing the exact opposite. I think that will show up at the Suns.
Love Nank and he certainly deserves the captaincy - but not a good idea to make a ruck a captain - stops the flexibility. No blight on him on any level - just having an undersized ruck lends it self to a fast team....and I don't think we are picking our fastest team. Still if Yze plays the players in the roles they are suited for and not out of position I think that is 10 wins straight off the bat.
Once again our goal kicking let us down. We don’t look like we have a plan once we get a kick inside our forward 50. A lot of players put in the right amount of heart and effort, it just doesn’t seem to flow like it used too.
Mate, I completely agree.. We can make our way into the 50, but once we're there, we seem completely lost.. I doubt we can fix that right away.. Unfortunately, 2024 season is a miss for me.. I'm just hoping to see some improvement and something different.. New coach, new gamestyle (hopefully), and we need our supporters to be patient, cause this isn't something that can be fixed within a couple rounds.. It's a 'whole season' issue
Can not do much if player does not take up father son opportunity eg Murphy, passing up a midfielder in the draft eg Joel Selwood or Travis Boak was the mistake IMHO of course
Noah Cumberland?????? Most exciting forward we've had since richo! Strong mark, beautiful kick, quick, lively, natural. Tarranto and hopper uninspiring and in my opinion, a waste . Why is pickett in the seniors? Constant fumbling, slow to make decisions, and he struggles with the pace of the game. Can't wait to see Adam's changes throughout the year.
