Good to see Footy back. I didn’t see a draw coming between Richmond and Carlton. The Blues will be left to rue a few last quarter chances to put the Tigers away down the stretch. While Richmond will be mighty relieved that they didn’t falter when they were behind and took their chances to stay with Carlton at the death. A stalemate to kick off 2023? Well I guess that’s a sign that games this season are bound to be more of a dogfight than a blowout. More defensive oriented and winning the transition game from defence to attack. But overall, thrilling games of footy are bound to light up 2023

TBH both teams were lacking both teams had chances to kick goals easy goals but butchered their chances that can happen in a pressure game especially the first real game back in front of 88 thousand fans screaming and yelling at you. Over all it was a good Hard contest that showed both teams have positive signs.

One of the best sh** games I've ever seen in terms of scoring. I prefer high-scoring matches, but I can't control the AFL. Who would've thought that both Richmond and Carlton would draw in Round 1? Looks like this is the second year in a where the very first AFL regular season match of the year is won by neither Richmond nor Carlton.
I think that while it was low scoring, strangely I found it more entertaining than any match I watched last year, It seemed faster and there were plays that were actually good. not bad

They don't get to see replays. Still steaming from the over rule decision last year where the ball went high over the goal post. Rules were not followed. Can't over rule by guessing. God wanted it to be a draw, as you can see Linch was blocked in front of goal from taking a mark and then the blues got it all the way out into their forward 50 but tigers managed to get it back with one last chance to kick a goal, then the kick again to Linch in front of goal was a success. You have to see it from Gods prospective, if the game is blessed then dirty tactics will backfire. I'm not saying the blues are dirty players but the umpires can definitely play dirty. As a Freo supporter I was closely watching for what the umpires were giving. This all happened at 1 minute 47 seconds left on the clock.
