it blows my mind that people still think this country doesn't have issues with racism. It's wild!

The fact is…the gate-keeping going on with Black country artists takes place in every sector of American life we can imagine. Just as there are many people who tried to become a choke-point for Black Country artists, there are choke-points in politics, education, real estate, mainstream media, and even venture capital. Google the Fearless Fund, founded by two Black women simply to give Black women business owners access to businesses capital grants. I was so excited and inspired to hear the whispers, as I AM a Black woman business owner…and then, I see these two women on GMA…why? Because they are being sued by Edward Blum, the same guy who killed Affirmative Action. He is part of the “American Alliance For Equal Rights”, and in my opinion, a WS legal sniper, tasked with protecting the WS status quo…quite voraciously, I might add. Don’t take my word for it, fact check me. There is no misinterpreting the target nor the intent in cases such as these, and they are egregious af. It is hard for me to process the shock people display when these things happen. It is constant, it is everyday, and it is everywhere. Even still, we are able to dominate at anything we do, so maybe by the time one of us ends up on TV or kicks everyone’s ass at the Olympics…its easy to think “That person? DISCRIMINATED? Yeah right!”. Perhaps I can give someone that much grace. But, in most cases, honestly…anyone who denies racism these days is either a liar, or willfully obtuse. Both are disingenuous, and almost impossible to have a goodwill discussion with, because no matter the facts, they are not ready to face the simplest one of all. I’m tired of being called a liar, or overly dramatic, or “divisive”. That gaslighting act is also considered racist. We don’t want to talk about these things to make people feel sorry for us as. Quite the opposite. We are some of the most capable people on the planet. We don’t want to take…we don’t want handouts. We simply want to be left alone, really. We have already done the things Americans hold so dear. We literally created the banjo🤣. We don’t need help…we need our freedom. We simply want the same rights and humanitarian considerations as everyone else. There was a time when we had peaceful townships across America, in SPITE of our reparations being reneged by the government, in SPITE of the threats, land theft, and lynchings. Our towns and neighborhoods were prosperous, beautiful, mostly Black, and doing just fine….guess who had a problem with that? Not us. Guess who waged domestic warfare on their own citizens? And yet WE are the ones who are supposed to not only take it on the chin with a smile, but also join in the lie created for and about us, and also shut the hell up so white citizens can be comfortable . Germans say there is no excuse for the lack of protective legislation in America for a population of CITIZENS who are clearly endangered in our own home. It is all around you, and if you choose NOT to see it, call it out, or even admit it exists…you may not be as open-hearted, humanitarian, or patriotic as you were raised to believe 🤷🏾‍♀️
I am not part of the BeyHive, but what she is doing is historically awesome, and hopefully can show the world yet another thing we have in common. A world with diversity is stronger, more robust, and CULTURALLY more rich than if we were to all self isolate as nations and tribes and races. Like the historian said…without Black people, country music simply would be folk music without the gospel elements from Black Americans. This concept applies in economics, medicine, education, science, technology, AND literature. Please support Black artists…and support independent artists, as well! Receiving each other’s contributions to American culture with grace and goodwill is one step for us to be just a little less divided. What do we have to lose?

They do not, music is universal and its theraputic. Do you need a special award spot for being black? Do yall realize you were born that way? Its not like you went to the gym worked out and got extra brown. Bring more Black and beautiful artists on over. Who said you were not welcome. Not music lovers.

You're playing dumb and youre a disengious coward. No one is asking for an award for being black and you know it so shut your mouth before youchoke on your bad faith sarcasm. What they want is racial discimrination from WHITE COUNTRY MUSIC FANS to end. Racist whites said they're not welcome. Period.

We gotta quit playin' and keep it thou-wow. Like for real, for real because folks is doin' too much and it's gettin' on my nerves. Look, when have the majority of black folks ever just listened to country music all like that? I'm 38 and in the '90s, I don't remember black folks just listening to country music. Nah, perhaps this is a regional thing, but when I was growing up, country music was older white folks' music. Yes, we know the history of the genre being taken from us, but c'mon man. Like nobody cares. The country music marketplace is extremely protective over the music they done took from us. Black artists will always face lil' funny challenges whenever they do country music. White artists just flow freely all throughout Hip-Hop & R&B though. No hesitation. No questions asked. Look, the practical reality is that the majority of today's black youth ain't tryna hear no doggon country music. Nah for me, country music has never been my go-to genre and that's simply because most of them sound alike and honestly, they be soundin' ugly sometimes. And it's boring.

Country music have the funniest songs and the best love songs ever they sing about love unlike our songs are all about sex and the moves you make when you having it both of them are nice. Good music is good music it doesn't matter who sings it where they're from if it sounds good it sounds good I like country pop rock classic rock classical music afrobeat ragamuffin style reggae Compass Zouk Moreno and K-pop just to name a few if we expand our minds maybe we can go further in life I watch International films Nollywood Bollywood and Hollywood, why does anything have to belong to any one group if you do it well it should be appreciated

Shut the phuck up! And stop pretending that one biracial country artist and a one black country artist both of whom are men makes up for the dozens of other black country artist are given the same perks of white country artist. How many black country artist are played on country radio? How many black country artist are nominated for country music awards? How many black country music artist allowed to promote their music at radio stations? Answer those questions or shut the phuck up and stop gaslighting black people with your fox news far right racist talking points.

One is bi racial & one is black that started off in a rock band as the only black person. They already had a popular white audience. You didn't prove anything.

Heavy Metal is another genre where there's a lack of. The only Black metal band that I've ever known was Wicked Wisdom the group that Jada Pinkett was the lead singer, I think that was the name of the group. They had some 🔥 songs!!!! Bleed All Over Me was 🔥🔥🔥🔥
