The way they are building these machines these days is incredible. Back In they day monster trucks were constantly breaking. I don’t think most people understand the stress out on drivetrains and suspensions by 66 inch tires attached to a 1500 hp engine.
Right? The jumps and speed alone are ultra impressive, but the fact that they just keep putting them back together again as if they were Lego trucks. They weren’t built like this in the late 80’s when I was a kid
They've got to a point now where a lot of the components are specifically designed for monster trucks, it used to be all farm equipment and other stuff but now the tires, dampers, clutches, hubs and lots more are all bespoke. Child me is stunned by what they can do now.

@J S Typically 3 4 or 5 show arena events from different cities in a weekend and then two separate stadium shows a weekend

I will forever believe Bari won high jump with Tom coming second. There's no way Ryan was higher and I still can't figure out how they determined the height or what part of the truck they measured from. Because in every way it looks like Bari had it unless they measure from the back of the truck. Because more people did a sky wheelie and Ryan flattened the truck out at the peak of the hit.
@@andylasceski I have absolutely no clue what logic they use either. It doesn't seem consistent at all. I was there as well and from what I saw in person nobody will ever convince me that Bari didn't win. I think the event should just be removed entirely in favor of a larger roster of trucks. Its not exciting and to say that Ryan is a 3 time world champion knowing this is one of them just feels cheap and unimportant next to skills, freestyle or racing.
@@eggco.93 i agree. It's still a world championship nonetheless but it was for one huge jump and that's it which is a lot more luck than anything else. But it is what it is
I’d be happy to see it removed, out of the racing, skills, and freestyle, it is by far the most luck based competition to win

its funny to think theres a dude inside these trucks just full on sending it. and the ability to keep composure and control the throttle and steering when being slammed around 30 ft in the air, twisting and flipping... haha those dudes must be so sore the next day
