Every day my repect from your great videos (read = R&D:). I purchased the CHCB-OT with ZS MK8, and... Solve a lot of problems, and more quality as a bonus. Waiting anxious for the results on your tests with new motors, belts and idlers. Congrats again !
Thanks for the kind words, Bro 🙏🙏
Love your videos brother, keep it up
Just slapped a diamondback in the new hotend. So far getting pretty great results with the changes. Can’t wait to see what you do next
Great to hear. Thanks for sharing, bro ... I have been busy a lil with a few things ... this is why I have not uploaded anything recently .
بعد مااعرف شكول 😮 ربي يوفقك بتطوير الطابعة ❤❤❤
شكرا لك اخي ❤️❤️❤️
I never would've considered an MK8 nozzle an upgrade 😅😅 Nice video 🤌🤌
the longer u live, the more u see 👀 ...lol
You're giving the K1 a tremendous look!
Someone need to cover the ugly side if it 😅
@@omranello your approach is very unique. That is why I want to support your efforts. Your own printer will be all of your best thinking, and 100% yours. This is what interests me. I don’t want another Creality knock-off. I want a machine that comes from an original space. This is what I think you can create. I hope my support is worthy of your intellect.
@corlissmedia2.0 bro ...it is a great honor to hear this from you ... you are really motivating me toward this 🙏 I thank you for that , and I hope I am able to make something that is worth the effort ... and I am sure there are other brilliant minds out there. I am trying to bring them toward this direction... ur support and motivation are all I need .
@@omranello it is what I have always done, to my last days on the Rick I hope.
Hey, your Videos are awsome, i ordered the Hotend too but are there some other good Nozzles for this Hotend that are less expansive? I cant spend that amount of money only for a nozzle :(
Thanka bro .. the hotend comes with the nozzle .. but any mk8 should work
Great video! After installing my Chcb hotend ive been getting rought prints with bad infill. Its not even connected. Did you have to change settings to get your to work good? Im somewhat new to 3d printing and would appreciate the help!
Sorry to hear that ... u shouldn't get anything like that .. please find me at out server ... will try to help discord.gg/vPr5DjfHUJ
thank you
Wow what great video with bigger special
nozzle to see bigger flow and faster to print.
Also to see one hand nozzle change unbelievable how fast that goes as with normal K1 (Max)
This i think many owners of the K1 series would also would have. 👍
Has this nozzle exchange to do with that costume made extruder cover with beautiful Knomi ?
Thanks ... I think one of the main objectives is to have easy to service nozzle ... beside the lightweight and better metals used in it ... the Devil burner can work with stock nozzle aswell ... the OT is smaller (thin) and allows easier way to handle
@@omranello thanks for sharing answer and indeed easy access to nozzle change make a big time less consuming to change . 👍🌞
Two questions, is this nozzle available already and what newton force did you select for your torque wrench? Lol.
Edit: Nevermind I see now there is a "plus" option on the AliExpress listing, I assume this is the CHT one you show. The photos don't show CHT internals but I assume the photos are all the "Standard" option.
Yes ... the plus always the higher flow ... the nozzle wrench is at 1.4 N ... I also use 1.5 N
Awesome!!
Great video! I have seen some lines on the print. I had the same issue, then I ran PID tune for the hotend and they went away
Through klipper mainsail "hack"?
@@Wonderful3DArt yes
Do u mean the lines at the top of this printed model ?
@omranello no the vertical ones.
Great contribution, could you show us with a video how you link orcaslicer with the K1? and the profiles you use?, thank you very much
Thanks bro ... I am sure there are way better people than me in the slicer setup ... but will try to do that .. thanks for the recommendation
@@omranello Thanks for answering, I really appreciate your videos, probably more than you think. If I allowed myself to ask you for this information, it was because of the confidence that your work on TH-cam inspires in me. Something that I will not find in other places
@JavierAmadorchamorro you can ask anything ... this is a community . Please contact me on discord please : omranello
@@omranello Thanks bro!!!
How does the OT hotend works, does it have a melting zone before the nozzle? What about Z, is it the same as stock?
Same exact hight ... Please check the Trianglelab.net or the Aliexpress link in the description for a better explanation...
Did you use the original extruder? Or did you use another extruder or plan to use another extruder?
All of the Videos here until now .. is made with the Orginal extruder with the FIX I made to it ... New Extruder is under development.
@@omranello is the New extruder also in cowork with trianglelab?
@renesfoodpassion there will be few revisions, one with the Stock Gears .. and one with Better ones from Trianglelab.net... so yes ... also few colleges are building other versions.. so the community will have some options to choose from
@@omranello can you Tell me how long we have to wait for the triangle Version ?
Do you expect the diamond ZSD nozzle to have a performance increase over the tungsten carbide?
Hmmm I can't tell as I have not tested it .. but if any I don't think it would be noticeable..
@@omranello I ordered the diamond one today, I'll let you know how it performs
@@Graham_Manufacturing please do ... would like to know more about ur setup and ur findings
Using PolyLite ASA I'm capping out at about 50 mm3/s, I'm going to try some PLA soon as well @@omranello
@@omranello so update I'm actually getting about 75mm3 in actual printing before I see some underextrusion with polymaker asa at 290c
Curious why this hot end versus the Microswiss one
I made this hotend in collaboration with Trianglelab :) ... and it was way before the microswiss . Also, ask around discord there r many who tried both ..they can advise .. my opinion might be biased since this hotend is my lip baby
You forgot to wear astronaut suit, this is space age! 🚀🧑🚀
I think the Rocket is coming up soon .. I got a surprise for you Guyz !! .. I hope it works as I expect... but needs some time
Mine is arriving in few days, will compare to stock hotend + bondtech cht volcano. I somehow doubt the single sided heater on OT hotend is any better, this is stock on Bambu printers and they don't have more flow than K1 series. K1 series stock hotend is heated all around. But will see, I also have a bondtech cht mk8 nozzle around and tons of previous tests. Also the nozzle on Ali site you linked has no 3 holes, just one. And it's more expensive than bondtech bimetall nozzle
Cooool ... Would be great to share ur findings... 🙏
Oh, regarding the nozzle, I think the difference is that this has Tungsten inserts .
@@omranello I compared the brass nozzle and zstc (free for preorder), both behave same around ~22-24mm³ flow @210°C. Volcano cht wit stock hotend has ~26mm³, all sunlu PLA+ black. Stock hotend + stock nozzle (plain copper) @220°C meta pla was 23mm³, the one in the creality set (plated copper) has a bit more ~27mm³. But this is a comparsion pla+ vs meta, meta is much more liquid at same temp than pla+ and stock hotend had 10°C more. So i would say it is a big upgrade. Now I need to wait for my new cht mk8 nozzle and boron nitride paste, this should bump the flow over 30mm³ easily. Do we need to apply boron nitride at the heating element?
@@omranello oh i forgot. removing the sock is super easy now :D nozzle change is also easier, ot hotend is thinner, i can put a wrench at the back and change nozzles without removing the cover. good work with this one, never thought mk8 would beat volcano.
@tek9058 I am happy it's working for u ... just remember to put some Blue loctite for the neck brace M2 screws ... the vibration usually make them come loose ... thanks for buying it .. I really hope u enjoy it
I wonder if simply using a 0.6mm Volcano CHT nozzle on with the stock hotend would already give huge improvements.
I believe it would..
What is the hole size of the nozzle? 0.4??
Mk8 zstc 0.6
Yup as @1raducu said ... it's a 0.6
are you changing nozzle on cold hotend???
Depending on which hotend ... if there is no leak around the nozzle .. Yes ( keeping in mind I torque them at 1.4 to 1.5 nm) and on my OT hotend, the nozzle is easily changable when cold .
@@omranello but in most cases it will cause plastick leak on thread, no?
@pavelyakovenko1786 exactly.. if u have plastic leaks, this is a very bad idea ... you will damage the hotend.. it is always safer and better practice to do it after heating the nozzle . Again, I do this regularly, so I got a feel to how to screw it .. and I had my fair share of broken hotends 😅 live and learn
судя по вращению катушки расход отличный. печатать технические детали -то что надо. музыка как всегда подбодрила. а что пишите в слайсере (диаметр сопла)? там же в креалити принт диаметр только 0,4.
Thank you for your comment I try as much to understand what u say ... but am not sure if u were asking about the nozzle diameter .. or what exactly... sorry 🙏
At this point this printer is not Creality K1 anymore😂
It's still got "Creality" Sticker ! .. doesn't that count ? 🙃
@@omranello Hahaha if you say so💀.
I finally decided to reinstall stock hotend, it performed better with CHT nozzles. The one sided heater is causing print quality issues, expecially with steel nozzles. Printing flow tests shows it pretty clearly, stock+cht will have good quality walls and fail abruptly, ot hotend degrades in quality ~5-10m³ earlier before it fails. I think this is due to MK8 nozzle and one sided heater. Actually, this design is almost 1:1 from bambu labs inexpensive hotend. It also has less flow than stock+cht and resistance measures power of 60 watts, the minimum value advertised. stock hotends measure 60 and 62 watts.
This is strange. Anyways... also always use what u r comfortable with 👍
and overhangs ?
This is just a flow test !
@@omranello Oh okay. I wonder what you will do with the k1 max. I have 7 of them
@plane1994 wow ... niceeeee ... I would like to hear from you how do u find them and rate them if it's a farm u are running there
