How does the 2.0TDI perform compared to the 1.4TSI.? I heard on some other reviews the 1.4TSI is highly strung and has to work alot harder to get it moving because of the weight
Yes that’s true. The 2.0TDI performs much better because it does have more power and it doesn’t feel like it’s struggling with its weight like the other one

I have no idea with regards to the insurance premiums tbh.
The Chery models are good alternatives to the Tiguan but I personally before I look at them I would look at the Kia Sportage/ Mazda CX 5 / Nissan Qashqai and the Haval H6 First

Tough competition indeed. There’s the new Kia Sportage Diesel that offers basically the same in terms of fuel so tough choice
@@SwitchOffSouthAfrica I saw Muzi’s review on it and he said that it lacks power but I’ve seen it at the dealership. It looks great and the interior quality is sport on. However no one will buy it looking at performance so it serves as a great alternative to the Tiguan.

I have the 73 reg tiguan r line in deep black pearl had ablot if trouble with it start to finish since november collection ,first off ehoever washed it upon pre inspection destroyed the paint work ,then 8 times back and forward to vw and several arguments later got no were with a suspected supension problem because the ride is so rumbly and clunky .they say its supost to be like that as its sport suspension ..the drive is terrible and ive had alot of vw vehicles that were lovely and smooth ..is there anyone else that has this model and finds the drive is like and old bus ..bouncing clunking all over the road ? The slightest tiny pothole thids thru the dashboard and sends the keft hand side wheel area on a goose chase the noise and feel is terrible ..2 dealers later many miles later and brand new misanos scratched to bits were the wheel nuts go in and im no further forward ..ive now got complaint in about my alloys as they clearly showed no care and attension taking the wheel nuts out ..vw are one of the worst companies ive ever dealt with ..next car is bmw x5 never again vw sadly
What the hell is wrong with that cars rear seats? Is it not like brand new they appear to be full of wrinkels and folds. The Sportage is going to kill it, at that price with a 3year warranty is just insane to even consider. Bear in mind the sportage is like R400k cheaper? Double the warranty? 6 Year service plan. Vw is killing itself
Has a Turbo lag because of engine to weight ratio if thats a thing 😂😂
I heard the 1.4 is having to work harder to get it moving because of its weight
