There are far too many innocent people in prison, However, Adnan Syed was not one of them. Prosecutors build careers on false convictions, and now this prosecutor is building a career by letting a guilty man go free. She is using the popularity of the 100 million listeners to Sarah Koenig's shameful exploitation of the murder of Hae Min Lee, when Koenig kept listeners tuned in by keeping them wondering whether he was guilty. Syed showed Lee's body to Jay Wilds in the trunk. He lent his car to Jay in order to lure Lee with the lie that his was in the shop. He also lent his cell phone so he could call Jay after he killed Hae Lee. He hung out with Jay, Jennifer Pusateri and others acting like a real life zombie OR someone who just committed murder. He practically admitted it when the police called looking for Hae. Jay Wild also told Jennifer Pusateria that Adnan strangled Hae Min Lee, a fact not released by the authorities. Jennifer picked up Jay at Westview Mall after Adnan buried Lee and disposed of shovels there. Despite Jay's defensive, but understandable inconsistencies, why would he lie and implicate himself? This case is obvious, which is why Adnan was convicted.

He's already spent almost a lifetime in prison.. how sad to think he's already spent this long in prison if he truly is innocent and was wrongly convicted.. the therapy he would go through to help him cope with the mental anguish he must have gone through the last 20 plus years is absolutely crazy but also critical if he is released and proven innocent. My heart and prayers go out for justice for this woman and also for the truth.

This is making the murderer the victim and for a prosecutor to say something as stupid as justice over convictions kind of makes it look like she isn't qualified for the job she holds because a prosecutors job is to present the case and nothing more the jury decides guilt or innocence . They present evidence of guilt and the defender presents evidence of innocence , they do not set free or condemn they merely present everything to the jury they decide . Why would you expect DNA at the crime scene? Syed choked Hae Min Lee in the passenger seat of her car, breaking her Hyoid bone and bruising her head against the car door, killing her in about 15 seconds. Hae kicked the wiper switch loose on the steering column, but if she managed to get any of his DNA, it was lost after being buried in a shallow grave and inclement weather for 30 days. In fact it snowed the day after he buried her. There was no bleeding, no sexual assault.

Both of them present evidence that is all they do they do not convict and they do not declare innocence they present the case from both sides view and the jury decides guilt or innocence . It happened in a public place so that brings it down to someone she would have trusted or knew. (If not she would have been heard screaming and fighting there would have been a ton of witnesses) Not a random killer. In the majority of homicides it's the people that are closest to you.

⛓⛓ ~ This is 5-6 years too late. I’ve listened to at least 50 hours of detailed information about all the holes and misconduct in this story. And 50 hours is a conservative minimum guess. That does not even count me listening to the original serial podcast. The Maryland court of appeals screwed this case up after the trial court judge wanted to overturn the convictions.
And another extremely suspicious thing, that has been commented on before, is the prosecutor working on this case over the last several years actually left the prosecutor’s office and has been DONATING his time for FREE to continue to make sure this man spends the rest of his life in prison. Is that suspicious? The prosecutor left the office to go to a higher paying legal job, but he continue to work on this one single case to make sure he stayed in prison. He did sell for free. Does it sound like he was trying to hide misconduct that he knew about? He didn’t want any other prosecutor looking into this case? That is the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this story pop up one or two days ago.

The physical evidence and procedures were flawed enough to force the acquittal, but the circumstantial evidence is still beyond reasonable doubt. Adnan is not innocent - he is only free on technicalities of procedures and flawed evidence used by the prosecution.
Justice has not been served to anyone - should be a retrial, but that'd be a waste of resources and Adnan has served a longer sentence than he would in many countries.

Wow, the prosecutor or district attorney is what the justice system should be. I’m not totally convinced of this man’s innocence but there was some Brady violations and ultimately sounds like he didn’t have a fair shot to prove his innocence. I hope the prosecutor runs for office one day because there needs to be serious changes and the way she articulated “justice over convictions” was spot on, seems like a lot of prosecutors use convictions rates as their credentials. To the point where people don’t even care how they get them just that they need to have a great or outstanding ratio, no matter if peoples lives and families are on the line.

Oh and just FYI try to stay away from girls that Listen to true Crime podcasts... I've dated a few of them in the last 10 years they're all the same crap weird AF with complex daddy issues, family issues that can ruin a guys life. Just like live concerts girls/women ruin everything.

I was in agreement with you about it being a great podcast but you lost me in the second half of your comment 🤯🙄

@@jennifergraceh lol my bad...it's how I feel though. It's more of a thing and you'll hear it more often that women are obsessed and love True Crime podcasts, documentaries or series. And you guys have the ability to dive in and get more involved and be obsessed unlike men we can't do that we got too much to do and too much to focus on although I love the True Crime world as I always did before podcasts and documentaries... you guys have the ability to take over things in a massive way that guys can't. Before I could talk to my guy friends about the True Crime stuff without them mocking me that it's a girly thing ...but now that's over. Like a true crime podcast will be more popular with a woman narrating it than a guy. It's almost as if since you guys are always the victims and these True Crimes now you guys got to take over. And as for concerts that's 100% true go to a concert you will not hear any guys the women will drown out the men's voices or sing alongs or screaming and then you guys do that weird hand wave thing when it's a slow song that actually piss off the artist

Gosh. 17 years old - he was just a baby. Probably learning how to drive, hanging out with friends, being carefree with no care in the world. He had his entire life ahead of him.

Wow! It's about time & he's already spent so much time in prison when he should have been out. Our Justice System is shameful.

I thought your lawyer not doing a good job was a reason for a new trial, his lawyer got disbarred for representing him wrong during the first trial, how bad does your lawyer have to be if getting disbarred does not count?
