Another banger by Ren. He never ceases to amaze me. He’s extremely talented and I can’t wait to see what he accomplishes in the future. And, of course, I love your reactions as usual. Long time subscriber of yours! Keep up the great work 😊
You guys are so cute together! Your reactions always make me happy, even when the songs are serious and deep. Your conversations are so good, and you can see your love for each other! Keep up the good work!
I like how you point out that he starts out by talking about how hard life has been for him, but then, by the end of the song, he is saying how he will take what is his from life no matter what it throws at him. To me, that is the central message of Ren's music: that life is what we make it, no matter what obstacles we face
Just love your reactions, Think Carol is falling in Love with Ren 😂, “Loosing it” will blow your minds 🤯, literally dozens of flow changes and loads of clever word play. Well done Guys 👏
Ren just went over 1 million subscriptions! Tomorrow (Thursday July 20th) Ren's next song Murderer drops. He'll be releasing a song a week from the new album since he hit that million mark. He might also have a little rap battle popping off next week!
I love the way you both analyse the lyrical meaning. I would recommend the full version of Jenny, Screech and Violet’s tale and I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop if you haven’t already👍
Large dilated pupils can be a symptom of anxiety and depression. Ren will be aware of this and so has linked dilated pupils with the ultimate consequence of depression. Just another amazing lyrical connection by this gem of an artist!
My understanding of pupils dilate in the dark is that it's a double entendre. Pupils are both eyes, and students. Dilate is both to widen, and grow. The Dark is both the night, and the hardships. He's giving the impression of eyes with his hand, but he's really referring to the students. Students grow in the suffering. In other words, you learn best from mistakes, you grow from hardship. He echoes this sentiment just a few lines later with "Geneses, pain in the art." All good artists are destined to suffer.
I'm binging on all your Ren reactions, you so totally get him, I wish you had more of them, there's so much more of him for you to discover. I only found your channel today but I've subbed and I really hope you do more Ren. 🖤🖤🖤
I found you two on a Ren video and had to immediately subscribe. You are a beautiful couple and perfectly articulate your feelings and reaction to the songs. I look forward to more Ren reactions as well as some reactions to Ren's band, The Big Push. "Bongo Bong", "English Man in New York", or for some great reggae, listen to their mash up of "I shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop". It really shows the versatility of Ren. One more recommendation from a different genre, check out a band called "Dirty Loops" They are amazing musicians and don't have to worry about blurring your screen as copyrights have never been an issue. Some songs to check out are "Work Shit Out", Next to You", or "Follow the Light". They also do a great cover of Michael Jackson's "Thriller". I know you probably get a million suggestions but even if you don't want to react to Dirty Loops, do yourself a favor and check them out. They are just that good.
Hello guys, I thought I'd suggest another band to give a listen, if interested. "Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band - Still The Same (Live in San Diego, Ca/1978" --Bob Seger is an American singer, songwriter and musician. He is a Detriot Michigan native and he formed his band Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band in 1974. Seger was blessed with a voice that sounded gritty, soulful, yet also,. with great power and vocal range His songs are spun like little movies, full of wide sweeping vistas, and colorful small-town characters that come alive and leap off the vinyls as they play, he is a connoisseur of storytelling. Seger's music resonates with authenticity weaving all flavours of Americana history into beautiful melodies that embody the American spirit. His music speaks about weighty blue-collar struggles, ambitions, frustrations, hopes, heartbreak and dreams of the everyday common person. His discography is deep with lots of beautiful tunes to explore. I think you guy's will really enjoy going down this rabbit hole, if you choose to do so.🎶
"Noah was late for the ark" I think you two were on the right track. It feels like a metaphore for a missed opportunity, "[What if] Noah was late for the ark?" that could symbolize Ren's feelings like he was minutes late to stop his friend from jumping off a bridge into a river never to be found again. Also you guys are awesome. I'm watching everything.
One of my favorite Ren tracks, but one of the ones I understand the least. The verses are pretty straight forward (+ straight fire), but the hook is opaque. Why Genesis? The beginning of what exactly? In what sense was Noah late for the ark? Is he Noah? Was he late for his salvation? Is it his late diagnosis? But if so, why bring in the story of Noah at all; how does the story of Noah in Genesis relate to his personal struggle? I’m not convinced that any of these questions have good answers.
"Do not get hit by a car"...true story. Ren informed in a recent interview that he did almost get hit by a car during filming! :) Great reaction!
An artist creates art.
Ren is different, he is the art.
I love your Ren reactions, you have so many more to do, and also his Band 'The Big Push', they are all bangers, all killer, no filler..

What a great reaction...you guys are great together. If you want to pause, it's fine. Sometimes you have to do it to react. Love it!
Love you guys. Thanks!

Genesis literally means (Origin, Creation, Beginning, Birth). Ren is word playing of his Life/Origin & now his Rebirth/Creation of who he is now.
I like how you point out that he starts out by talking about how hard life has been for him, but then, by the end of the song, he is saying how he will take what is his from life no matter what it throws at him. Absolutely amazing reaction I love your energy and I think I will love ‘heretic’ by Ren another deep thinker of his journey through his mind
"heretic" is in my top 5 favourite Ren tracks!
This is one of my favourite Ren tracks - it has a unique groove all of its own
Just love your reactions, Think Carol is falling in Love with Ren 😂, “Loosing it” will blow your minds 🤯, literally dozens of flow changes and loads of clever word play. Well done Guys 👏

Ren is amazeballs.

Terrific reaction. If you are late for the ark, I guess you are drowning and stuck in the sinking world.
Really looking forward to seeing you guys react to "Chalk Outlines (Live)" and "The Tale of Jenny and Screech (Full)"!
Yes, one says Ren comes from his mind and the other claims he comes from the heart. However "Genesis aim for the heart." holds a clue. ❤
You've done a lot of _Ren_ reactions but barely heard him sing!!! Try: _'Chalk out lines'_ live or _'I shot the sheriff/road to Zion'_ cover.

Thanks for that explanation; I’ve been puzzling over the significance of the dilated pupils.
No probs :) @@MsCheesemonster13
Genesis is one of my absolute favorite Ren tracks! I love your reactions!!

Good reaction. One of my favourite songs.
Love!
You two are so freaking cute! I love your man's hair! Ren is so talented.
The live acoustic version is great.
Its a commonly used english phrase/term "the icing on the cake". Kinda means "the best bit" or "the thing you liked the most". :)
Great reaction by the way. You're gonna lose it when you hear "Ren/Loosing It". #subscribed

You stop way toooooooo much
I literally commented about the pauses in this video. Can't please everyone, go listen to Genesis song uninterrupted 🤦
