I know you guys are going to check out REN’s band The Big Push. Lots of good stuff there!!! Don’t sleep on Ren playing the bass in Wade in the Water/Nina Simone/Trouble so Good. Dude can do it all.
The line "Pupils dilate in the dark, people die late in the dark" is refering to a friend of his who took his own life late one night. He does a duet with Chinchilla about this part of his life called "How To Be Me", the live version is incredible.
That duet was shot where his friend committed that suicide.
Can't wait for you guys to listen to "Power".....the bass drop, the hook, how catchy it is (like "What you want")...and the lyrics.... (probably my favorite song so far, I listen to it every time I walk my dog....DAILY) ANOTHER top tier song from the man of the hour, so happy that the world has finally discovered his mind-blowing talent. He's truly special and deserves every bit of attention he's finally getting.
Chillin in cars listening to music are some of the best times, cherish it bros.
On that note Power is a great song and the video was done driving around too.
Also completely outside of Ren but a great artist to react to is the Bee Gee's (stayin alive, too much heaven). They have some crazy 70s voices and style.

You guys are so fun! I think Ren says at one point he was stuck in his room 23 hours out of 24 and all his bones hurt. Some of the lyrics " stuck inside this padded cell " knocking on the gates of hell" ' bones aching" may refer to that time in my opinion. He's gone thru some hell for sure. Subbed for more Ren !

In one video Ren mentioned that the only thing that pulled him through those rough years was his music. He said that even when he could not get out of bed he made music by his bedside. That's why he is so good, in my opinion, that he just loves music so much and music has helped him so much.
Have you heard Ed Sheerans song F64? Every time I watch you, I think of this song, the bond and energy that Ed had with Jamal Edwards. You have such good energy between the two of you.

I agree with others, the live acoustic is cool as well. If you want to go deep with Ren you should check out Depression and Insomnia. They're slower but still hit hard.

Ren couldnt eat a whole lot of different foods when he was really ill. Im guessing french fries were one of those foods.

Love this song and love your reaction! Ren was very depressed and in constant pain a few years ago, before he had a stem cell transplant, which basically gave him a second chance to live and play music. He still has lots of medical issues, but is doing better. Please do Power and Love Music Part 3!!! Also his band Big Push - I shot the Sheriff...
