First of your videos I have seen. Very cute and good info. I have 7 kiko does, 1 male herd sire and a set of 10 day old male twins. They each do have different personalities. Great way to introduce people to goats, especially kikos.
the video was enjoyable; your voice is soothing. My wife and I named our youngest daughter Arwen, and she insisted that we name our first goat "Mr. Tumnus". We are in the process of increasing our goat herd size from two to 6 and we are surfing youtube for all sorts of advice and hints. Thanks for the fun video.
LOL, you girls are indeed beautiful, but really, I laughed and learned something, what a great video! I think the biggest thing here is just to enjoy life, I feel revitalized and can't stop smiling. O slender as a willow-wand! O clearer than clear water! O reed by the living pool! Fair River-daughter! O spring-time and summer-time, and spring again after! O wind on the waterfall, and the leaves' laughter!
Im really mad this just now came up on my feed. I would have loved to seen this 10 years ago. Great video! I would fit in very well in the shire lol. It would be a great place to have a little farm.
This is awesome! Randomly watching goat videos I stumbled upon this one. I used to be active on TORN but haven't been for years. I love your take on things!
When you said "they don't eat tin cans" was that a reference to the wonderful children's book "Gregory the Terrible Eater" about the picky baby goat?! OMG!
Great job, ladies (all four of you), and I'm glad that Tumnus gets to have his fifteen minutes of fame. I enjoyed this, especially the laughs at the end.
Soooooooooooo cute! The goats, too. So are these just pet goats or are they used for anything? I'm itching to get out of the city where I've always lived and want a ranch of some kind but can't figure out a way to raise animals for a living without selling them to slaughter. I've looked at alpacas (which seems like a bubble market based on selling them to others AKA: pyramid), sheep, goats, chickens, cows ... I'm running out of animals! I'd love to just have animals I can sheer and sell their fleece to but it doesn't sell for anything close to enough to even make a profit. Any ideas?
oh my gosh, I enjoy your videos so much because you all seem to really enjoy your lives.....though I don't understand all of your hobbit references, I'm more an 1840 type lady! Keep having fun in life!!!!!
This video is cute! I also watched the chicken video. We have one goat and 9 chickens. You're so right about the personalities LOL As a "farmer" and a huge LOTR fan, I really enjoy your channel!
The farmhouse like this is my passion. I wish to raise goats and stocks. I learnt a lot from the instant video clip. What could be a way to get hands on training ?
Awesome video. Good elements in your presentation and value in its content. I am seeking to find out more about goats and how to care for them on a farm/shire in Oregon.
I love you guys!...can my goats come and visit! Maybe it's about how when I was ten and had measles and stayed home and read JR Tolken....aaahhh, mm, mm, (clearing my throat) Fili...I hope you didn't notice but your cameraman was filming your backside..."No cake or raspberry jam for you tonight, cameraman!" (Or maybe an extra mince pie!! Cheers!) Now about those goats!!! we have lovely friendly nubians (don"t ever wear shoe laces in the pen 'cause lily and Oreo are terrible and will untie 'em and eat them), now Your dear goats have beautiful nubian ears...but hey, must be Boers...and if I was ever thrown into a Dwarven Goat chargeI would certainly want Tumas on my side. Thanks for sharing ladies...just a wee lovely vid.
my goat last year (my firs goat i do 4-H but i had cousin that has done it for 3 or 4 years) but he would stay out in the rain and go in his shelter in the sun i dont get it
We call the male the Billy goat so a Billy to us is a male. I had the male picked out as soon as you showed the goats XD. I love my goats. I have five saanen, togenburgh alpine crosses. Their all super friendly and all have their horns. Ive never disbudded. They all have their personalities for sure and I wouldn't have it any other way. We live in Canada and it snows and gets really cold. They HATE the cold. Their pretty much kept in the barn all winter even if I offer them to go out they usually refuse but half of our barn is one large open space that is the goat area and we have horse box stalls that we use to separate them during kidding time. p.s All my goats have doctor who names lol. Martha is the Matriarch I bought her and her daughter Rose and they gave birth to twin does each and a billy that passed away sadly. So the other does are Donna, Amy, Clara and Stormageddon Dark Lord of All(Stormie for short and she was named by a friend lol)
Dwarf names girls, and you don't,t look like dwarves, way too cute . Stay with the country thing and remember,"It's no bad thing to celebrate a simple life" Bilbo.
good video and well presented. I wish when you said there is no such thing as a billy they are Boer, Nubian And crosses. I wish you would have said bucks and does, proper terms. And the small section of horn on the buck are scurs. They form from a dis budding on completely done. I presume you burnt them which is what we always do. Your animals look well care for and not abused, maybe loved to much.lol
Haha. Comedy and education are always a good mix. 5:15 a swordsman appears.

If you live near Santa Cruz, do you ever take the goats to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk? And if so, do they like the pulled taffy?:
Great job, ladies (all four of you), and I'm glad that Tumnus gets to have his fifteen minutes of fame. I enjoyed this, especially the laughs at the end.
