Hey Rob, I measured my height but get different measurements when my back is facing the wall and when my front is facing the wall. Which of the measurements is my height. When I face the wall, the measurement is larger than when I face it with my back.
I think the height you get while facing the wall is more appropriate bc yk what you're doin & you've a clear vision if in any case you're doing some error whereas while facing the back things can go a bit wrong.

I just bought a tape measure to be sure of my height but Im getting inconsistent results. Everytime I was measured on a stadiometer I would always get 1.77cm and also got 1.76cm one time. Now, with the tape measure, Im getting 1.78cm. I tried several times and I always get 1.78cm. I have been doing stretches lately but I dont really think they can give you 1cm+ on height. Im also already 22, so no chance that I grew. What is possibly going wrong here?

Mate 1.78cm-179cm is the perfect male height. Any taller and you’re getting big and heavy. I like being around this height as it’s the best for eXtreme sports such as Wingsuiting. I am 22 as well and 177cm -178cm during the day or 176cm - 177cm at the end of the day. Weight is 63Kg, I am a fit slim build. In the morning I am between 180-181cm as I have a very stretchy spine but I quickly drop down to 179cm-180cm then to my normal height of 177cm - 178cm.

Models usually lie about height so the “true minimum” requirement is probably an inch lower than what is said… A solid legit 5’8 woman is tall enough to model and to many people she can claim 5’9 and get away with it…

A lot of people make this mistake of having their backs and feet against the wall when measuring height. You should not be touching the wall at all to get a more natural reading. Unless you have your back against the wall 24/7 you should measure without touching the wall.
If you look slightly downwards, it seems that you measure taller. Where we should look when measuring- straight ahead or downwards, which is the correct way?

I think you will definitely be 5ft 10, as you still have at least 4/5 years to grow. You might actually be 5ft 11 or potentially even 6ft. You're above average height for your age. Just make sure to eat plenty of protein and to sleep for like 9 hours at night.

It honestly depends on your genetics. You could either stay at 5'11" or easily reach 6'1" by the time you're done growing. Some stop as early as 16, some as late as 25. I'm 23 1/2, but I think I stopped growing at 23. I could still be growing though. I was 5'10" at 20 and now I'm 5'11" barefoot at my lowest not counting hair either. The thing is though, I honestly can't remember if I measured 5'10" at 20 years old in the morning, which would be my tallest, or at my lowest. So for all I know that was me at my tallest, instead of being around 5'9" at my lowest so I could've grown 2 inches between 20 to 23 years old for all I know.
5ft 11 is above average height, im 5ft 11 (6ft with trainers on) and although i do wish i was a bit taller but its the ideal height 5ft11- 6ft2 is the sweet spot when it comes to male height because your above average height but not too tall to stand out
I think that the best way to take measure is the stadiometer, sure that if you can't buy It you should visit the doctor or the pharmacy, but the electric stadiometer is not fiable because It takes long to measure, It makes so much noise when is mesuaring you and it not have precison of 100%.
Huge difference! One of them is off, but if you measured on a different wall/floor in your house (or a door) and got about 6ft 1/2 inch again, maybe that is the truth.

Not accurate at all. Everytime i do this i get at least 1 inch off my real height. We have a lamp that is 5'11 exactly, and i come up exactly to the 5'10 mark on the lamp, however, doing this method i only get 5'9, which is incredibly off.

I just bought a tape measure to be sure of my height but Im getting inconsistent results. Everytime I was measured on a stadiometer I would always get 1.77cm and also got 1.76cm one time. Now, with the tape measure, Im getting 1.78cm. I tried several times and I always get 1.78cm. I have been doing stretches lately but I dont really think they can give you 1cm+ on height. Im also already 22, so no chance that I grew. What is possibly going wrong here?
@@RobPaul I tried to measure with a ruler, and got 1.77. Tried another time with the tape measure, but this time with the opposite side(cause it was easier to achor my feet) and also got 1.77cm. Somehow Im still geting 1.78cm when I use the tape measure with the front side, guess when I anchor my feet from the front the tape measure gives me a few mm's that put me on the 1.78cm range.
Mate 1.78cm-179cm is the perfect male height. Any taller and you’re getting big and heavy. I like being around this height as it’s the best for eXtreme sports such as Wingsuiting. I am 22 as well and 177cm -178cm during the day or 176cm - 177cm at the end of the day. Weight is 63Kg, I am a fit slim build. In the morning I am between 180-181cm as I have a very stretchy spine but I quickly drop down to 179cm-180cm then to my normal height of 177cm - 178cm.

Realistically it should be the same, but having your back to the wall gets you a bit closer for the measurement.

A lot of people make this mistake of having their backs and feet against the wall when measuring height. You should not be touching the wall at all to get a more natural reading. Unless you have your back against the wall 24/7 you should measure without touching the wall.

So it is not a big difference? I will try again, because sometimes I feel that there is some difference for sure, but I will check out how much is exactly. A little off topic- at the staredowns of the combat sports the taller guy is looking downwards, while the shorter is looking up, so the height difference is increasing. :) Anyway- thank you for the answer!

I think you will definitely be 5ft 10, as you still have at least 4/5 years to grow. You might actually be 5ft 11 or potentially even 6ft. You're above average height for your age. Just make sure to eat plenty of protein and to sleep for like 9 hours at night.

It honestly depends on your genetics. You could either stay at 5'11" or easily reach 6'1" by the time you're done growing. Some stop as early as 16, some as late as 25. I'm 23 1/2, but I think I stopped growing at 23. I could still be growing though. I was 5'10" at 20 and now I'm 5'11" barefoot at my lowest not counting hair either. The thing is though, I honestly can't remember if I measured 5'10" at 20 years old in the morning, which would be my tallest, or at my lowest. So for all I know that was me at my tallest, instead of being around 5'9" at my lowest so I could've grown 2 inches between 20 to 23 years old for all I know.

I think that the best way to take measure is the stadiometer, sure that if you can't buy It you should visit the doctor or the pharmacy, but the electric stadiometer is not fiable because It takes long to measure, It makes so much noise when is mesuaring you and it not have precison of 100%.
When I measured my myself at home i was 6'0 ft n half, when I was measured on physical test for police, i measured 6 ft 2inch ..
Huge difference! One of them is off, but if you measured on a different wall/floor in your house (or a door) and got about 6ft 1/2 inch again, maybe that is the truth.

Not accurate at all. Everytime i do this i get at least 1 inch off my real height. We have a lamp that is 5'11 exactly, and i come up exactly to the 5'10 mark on the lamp, however, doing this method i only get 5'9, which is incredibly off.
