I have come to accept that every community has toxic people who shit on others because they believe that their opinions (or purchases) are superior. It boosts their own ego and justifies their own expensive purchases. They are very narrow-minded and do not know how to see things from a different point of view.
Do these people just sit down and type all day?? Gamers use their keyboards for *shock* gaming. I know it's nice to have smooth feeling switches, etc but at the end of the day any decent keyboard will do.
That definitely looked like a DRM cable design so that you have to buy their own cables. It makes sense because they heavily advertise their own cables on Amazon for you to buy with it. It's not a coincidence that literally no other type of cable can fit into their keyboard
I have this board. I bought it on a whim to see if CM would succeed in their first foray into the "custom" scene. IMO, they knocked it out of the park. If you want a gaming board and don't feel like putting one together, but still want high quality, this is the one to buy. I have several customs I built myself and to be honest, at 39 years old, I hate the process now. It's annoying af. Good to see big companies doing stuff like this.
This grates me so much. The Hyper X Alloy Origins has exactly the same problem. Has "removeable" USB C cable, but no other aftermarket cables fit, but Hyper X also don't sell replacement cables. Such a silly oversight
I have same problem with some keyboards that came with small USB-C port. I bought "Cellularize USB C Extender Adapter (2 Pack)" on Amazon for 8$, it's fixed my problem.
Completely agrees with you on the cable issue, it takes away the detachable cable function of the board if a dedicated cable needs to be around the desk in order to use this board. Small gripe but it was definitely an oversight. Thank you for another great video!
I have an Akko board like that where no other USB cables fit. The opening is too small and it seems like the metal tip of the stock USB cable is just a millimeter or two longer so it reaches further in and connects all the way. Even a few other USB cables small enough to fit the opening in the housing just barely make contact and don't fully click into the USB because they are just barely a little bit shorter. So yeah I don't know why any manufacturers would want to do this when changing cables is part of customizing keyboards or even if the stock cable just breaks or get lost you shouldn't be prevented from finding an easy replacement.
My first ever mechanical keyboard was cooler master. I love the layout of this but I can't stand the 60-65% boards. I love the 75% or tkl. Hopefully they make this one with 75%
Cooler Master should bring back the OG CM storm/masterkeys keyboard lineup. All of their recent products have been mediocre so why not go back to your roots?
@@BennieDuck when I placed my order I specified that it was for the Durgod Hades. The cable works for my Shurikey keyboard as well, which has a tighter fit also.

Hey Techne! Unfortunately, a lot of gaming keyboards (Hyper X Alloy origins, Kemove Snowfox, etc.) have very small USB ports. I have custom cables and a lot of them don't fit. Instead of drilling the port, I bought a pack of 2 of "Cellularize USB C Extender Adapter" for around 10 bucks. Its a bit pricey for something so small, but it saved from a lot of troubles. I have a lot of custom keyboards, but as a very busy university student, I really hate the long process of modding them.
