She was! She wasn’t getting back to me for a while after I asked her whether or not she wanted to be kept in the loop during the process, so I just took a risk and did them, but she was super stoked so it payed off lol

Haha thank you!! It’s tricky to do a tutorial because I just eyeball it honestly. I use certain “landmarks” like the corners, a drawer edge, drawer pulls to reference where they need to go, but that’s pretty much it
I`ve decided I`m going to give it a shot this weekend. I`m redoing a large wooden D for my boss to hang up in her office. It was stored outside for a long time so I had to sand and repair the heck out of it but it looks tons better. I think the gold starburst will look awesome against the bark stain. I`ll report back when I`m finished and let you know if I`ve been promoted or I`m looking for a job. lol

The way you flipped the color for the design on top was genius!! Fab piece! Question: How do you manage to not scratch the surface when you trim the tape with the blade??
Stunning and original, I guess Art Deco-inspired design and green is my least favourite colour! Just a little sad that you didn't get the crispness on some of your tape lines. The words you were looking for in the commentary are "bleed through" and as a long time flipper I can confirm that sealing your tape edges with matte clear coat once you've pressed them down AND pulling the tape while your last coat is still wet will give you even better results for sure. I only use Frog brand tape which it looks like you use and I swear by it. Keep flipping, you do great work.

Sometimes I do, but if you can’t tell. Any scratches left will be covered with paint
Mika, get a small roller to apply the paint, then finish it with a brush.
Yeah, I have rollers, but they had been freshly washed and I hate painting with freshly washed rollers lol

I always use kwikwood wood putty for the broken edges. You can mold it easily and it dries rock hard
