2 missing Cents in this video. Working in the field of Business Informatics brings prestige and a high-paying job. But you also should be aware that high incomes also require a lot of your time. Maybe there is a way where you can work 4 hours a week and earn 100k/year but you have to be 1. Paris Hilton or 2. you are a Marketer who is selling THE DREAM. Even successful Entrepreneurs I know working +80 hours/week. Especially when you have the interest to go the entrepreneurial way and want to manage your own Company in the working field of Information Technology this study is also a good choice. if you are interested I can make a video on why it is a good choice.
Hey i have no background of computer science , programming etc . Though i have a high school diploma in commercial studies. Accountancy, Economics etc . Business Informatics seems to fascinate me.... should i take bachelor's in this field?... given i am totally dependent on the programming i will learn in the course for the first time.
Thank you for your question! In my current studies most fellow students I have talked to haven't any background in informatics before and they still do great work in the modules related to Informatics. I was also in the same situation like you! After 1.5 years I can confidently say that a real interest is more important than anything else. If you have real interest you will be more motivated to do your tasks, come more often to the courses at university which will automatically help you to achieve better marks. You don't have to be passionate about programming like a geek but at least a real interest to learn. And from my own experience I can say that Business Information Technology is worth it when it comes to job opportunities. As a working I have access to Finance which I probably wouldn't have before. If you want to go to a different segment and it is related to Business Information Technology you will definitely get your chance.
@@itbrezel Relieved to hear that...! I plan to learn the basics of programming . Maybe it could prove to be helpful. I think it will. Most of the German universities are giving out courses only in German at the bachelor's level. Thats a challenge too! How did you manage? Also what subjects are compulsory in your high school to be able to apply for business informatics? Too many questions 😝😝 . Sorry i am a bit inquisitive but that's because you answered on a personal level and thats something not available at all on the internet 😅. Thanks !❣️❣️
@Tarang Thank you for this kind comment! It really helps to read it, especially during the current time of intensive learning for the exams! But back to your question. Not all German universities are offering this study in German only. At least for the Bachelor in Business Information Technology. I have created a small list where you take a look at which of those universities are: 1drv.ms/x/s!AqR5w9dd2zFDeUTT2XmIc9k-SGs?e=xzMFHC --> Please make sure to contact the universities first and ask them about their current curriculum and instruction language, because it can change sometimes. In this Excel sheet, you will also find easily the contact site of the given universities. The Excel Sheet doesn't look good, but it works :) I was educated by the German school system, so I can't give you any tips on how to learn German fast, unfortunately! But a fellow student of mine course is from China and she also manages well the German courses. I think she learned the language years (?) ago. But she is highly motivated learner and she is even better than me when it comes to having good marks😅 The best way to get accepted into a German university for Business Information Technology is to have good marks in Mathematics, Physics, or Informatics. If you are lucky that your High School offers informatics courses, definitely take them! This will give you extra bonus points in the selection process! May I ask you where you are actually from?
Thanks for your question! If it were up to me, I would suggest the field of e-health. This is a professional field that not many people talk about, but has immense potential. For example, every second start-up in Germany is in the field of e-health and the medical industry is one of the safe industries with a high willingness to innovate. Although e-health is not one of the most popular industries, you have less competition and earn better than software developers, where it seems like every second person wants to do "something" with software development. Maybe you should take a closer look at e-health and see if it's something for you!
1)Does business information technology involve accounting and can you pursue accounting after completing business information technology? 2)Does current business technology companies like Amazon, daraz , Uber hire business information technology students and if they hire them what this company except from them ? Appreciate your time in explaining this course its help to choose field
Hello Abdul, thank you for your comment! 1) Yes, Business Information Technology involves accounting. I had in the first Semester external Accounting and now in the Second Semester of internal Accounting. Some students use the degree of BIT to go directly into Accounting/Controlling. 2) Yes, bigger companies know this study and they are highly needed. Since only 15% to 20% of all the students finish this studies, there is a high demand for them. But you have to understand that the BIT degree is an overall degree. It is up to you to specialize yourself in your own interest. You can become quite everything which is related to economics and informatics. You can become an Accountant, Programmer, IT Consultant, Supply Chain Manager....You can also go into Marketing if you want to. If you want to go to Amazon, Uber, and daraz, you should ask yourself: What is the need of the company, and does it reflect my interest to do this? Also, be aware to go during your studies as work experience as possible. This will help you to achieve better positions with better payment. I hope it helps! If you have more questions, feel free to ask!
Hello Will, thank you for your question. Yes, BIT & MIS are both the same studies! They are also sometimes known as Business Information Systems. Here you can find the explaination to your question: th-cam.com/video/1JFgrk5DSCw/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=ITBrezel Good luck for your Studies in BIT!
Hey, I personally recommend you taking informatic lesson as much as possible. Those lessons during your studies are the most common reason why people gave up. All other business related modules are easy to learn and just require time to memorize them. If there is only one course I can recommend you, it would be definitely informatics. It doesn't have to be super demanding. The basics would be enough. If you have the chance to learn JAVA now, definitely do it. Depending on your future curriculum, it could be the first programming language you have to learn. Hope it helps. Otherwise, just aks;)
From my understanding Business Informatics and Information Systems are the same studies. The study of Distributed Software System is an additional Master´s degree which is specialized in Distributed Software Systems 😀 From your other question in one of the other videos, you seem to be interested in SAP Systems. From this way, you could go for your Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics and later with a Master´s specification in Distributed Software Systems.
@@itbrezel I have completed my bachelors degree, I want to be a Abap + fiori (Javascript) developer in SAP domain, should I choose masters in business informatics or information systems or distributed software system, which program has SAP courses ? PS: nice explanation for DSS :D
Hello Amal, sure you can. At least in Germany. The good thing is that you can already use your bachelor of economics and easily adapt your knowledge to Business Information Systems Studies! Therefore, you will have a bigger advantage than students with no actual economical background. If you decide to study Business Information Systems, let me know how it goes! Good luck!
Hey Brother, I am from India and want to study in Australia for my bachelors.I am a student from Arts background with main subjects (Business Studies -93% and economics-83%).I recently got to know about the BIT degree, which sounded interesting to me .As I am a student of Arts with NO experience of accounting, programming, finance.Should I choose BIT?.If not , then please suggest me best Major, which could help me in future in terms of money and job security.
First of all there are no securities in life but possibilities to increase the chances to have more security. Is the study of BBIT attractive? From my own experience: Yes! I have written a few applications as working students and the response rate was great. People who are working in the IT industry are welcomed with opened hands. Especially this is something I can tell from the people around me who are already working in certain IT fields. If you have no experience in finance and accounting, don't worry it isn't difficult at all. But you should have the interest to learn about such topics. I think the biggest problems could be the programming part. If you never have seen a code before, you could have a few problems with it. BUT, if you learn the basics right now and you have the interest to learn more, you can make it. I highly recommend you to learn JAVA and to take a look on the curriculum which programming language is required. The more free time you spent to teach yourself about programming the easier it will get during your studies. This something I can tell from my own experience^_^ I have one question: Why do you want to study BIT? Do you have interest into programming?
I've been considering studying computer science but recently I've been doubting my abilities mathematically speaking. I'm finishing my A levels next year and I came across your channel when researching BIT. I was already planning on studying in Germany, I'm from South Africa. Really Apprecitate your videos man, keep it up.
Thank you so much for your great comment! The study of computer science is one of the top 5 most difficult courses in Germany, with a dropout rate of 43%, if you can believe some sources. I am now in the 4th semester of business informatics and I can tell you it is definitely worth it to stay on the ball! You will have an exciting time ahead of you and don't worry about math. I can give you some tips on that: 1. the universities know that math is one of the subjects where most students drop out. Therefore, the universities offer so-called "advanced courses", where you can practice the relevant basics again. 2. if you have the chance to choose between different lecturers, then use the website called: www.meinprof.de. On this website you can find the ratings of your fellow students of the respective professor. Try to avoid the bad professors naturally. Math can be fun, but it requires good lecturers who show consideration for the students. 3. out of 100 students probably 5 - 10 people have a clue what it is about. So you are not alone with your problems in math. Always try to go to class, do the homework, and get organized with others. But make sure you work with people who really want to learn and not make jokes :) Good luck! If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
