Just got mine! Put it together in 40 minutes without the manual. I love this machine. I live in a one bedroom apt. so it fits in my bedroom. Already threw 100lbs on there and my triceps are sore. Thats a good thing! Your right the box is huge! I may buy titans V2 preacher bench its on sale $ 35 off. Great video chief! 👍 I liked snd subscribed
I am 62 and I just got this about 5 weeks ag. It is well made and easy to put together. I injured my right shoulder using this! so I will be selling it soon. Enjoy your youth youngsters. I have the reverse hyper and really like it. The T-2 rack also I really like it. Plus a few Titan bars, great prices and free shipping if on a budget Titan is a great place to buy gym equipment.
Could it be you injured your shoulder because maybe you didn't warm up first? Was your sitting position correct? How about hand placement ? And most of all ,did you put too much weight on the bars? I'm just curious.
Mine’s supposed to arrive today! Very excited. Just got my first Olympic barbell and 255lbs of iron plates yesterday. The garage gym is slowly taking form!!
That’s awesome! Yep! It definitely sounds like the ball is rolling! I hope you like it. I am getting mine replaced because the frame and weight horns are not level...let me know if yours lines up correctly.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviewsmine came straight. I think Titan Fitness addressed those issues and also the handles being off centered. Bc mine came in perfect condition.
I welded together my own bench attached standing dip machine based off the powertec model, but I made it a single handled one rather than the double handle. This way I can load up in weight that's plenty heavy for one arm instead of the two, and never feel like I'm close to lifting off the ground.
That’s cool. I would really like to be a good welder. I’ve recently started putting a plate attached to a dip belt around my waist and that works really well for staying planted…even better than locking my feet under dumbbells.
My right rotator cuff is torn and my right elbow is trash, so the cost to benefit ratio of regular dips are no longer favorable for me. This machine allows me to still do dips without the pain. I found I had to angle myself forward like you’re doing to feel like I’m getting a full ROM in my triceps. Also a belt works pretty good for keeping you from lifting off the seat when you’re going heavy. Overall a hell of a value for the garage gym owner and recommended.
Great details. I just ordered mine. I had 10 percent off and today was a flash sale so was roughly $175. It is not that versatile, but the small footprint makes it worth it. I really like the dip machines at the gym, and will be nice to have one at home. I like your reviews, they are honest and descriptive. I am selling my Powertech workbench, as I have a lot of other equipment now, but the hacks you do for that, I will definitely pass along to the buyer.
I purchased a seatbelt meant for a golf cart and attached it under the seat bar. I can then concentrate on the movement rather than maintaining the position of my feet under dumbbells.
Gutted I can't get this in the UK. The bars look too wide apart though, a common issue I find in many tricep dip machines. I find those with handles that rotate inwards target the tris much better.
I think you nailed it. I find more pec activation than anything else. If I could sit up straighter, I might get more tricep involvement; but the bars’ angle makes an upright posture awkward.
I find your comments about the Titan Fitness Seated Dip Machine interesting because I don't have any problem doing heavy sets while sitting erect and without anchoring my feet. Have you tried pressing your back against the backrest with both of your feet flat on the floor? Doing so will anchor you a lot better than leaning forward and letting gravity help you press down the weight. I keep twelve 25 lb plates on my machine (6 on each weight horn)-- which is 300 lbs total. I weigh 220 lbs. The problem that I see with the machine is that it is too easy to do weighted seated dips on. I can do sets of 30 reps with 300 lbs if I grip the machine as high as I can. To make it harder, I grip the handles as low as I can. If you are into ego lifting, this is a good machine to do a lot of weight with a lot of reps on. However, it is not as good as doing regular dips on a dip bar or even when doing dips between two chairs.
I’ve tried various seat positions and I find the angle of the bars a bit sharp for perfectly upright dips. I’ll try again and see if I can find that sweet spot for an upright machine dip. I do like leaning forward though for more chest and delt activation. You are right, it is easy to do a considerable amount of weight on this machine. I can do nearly double what I can do on the Powertec Dip Attachment.
Boy!! I don't think I have ever watched a video that was explained so well as this one! And no loud music in the background drowning you out!! Shit I'm gonna buy this just because I listen to you explain it! How long is that chain for the overhead extension? And what size links 1/2 inch? I live in a apartment so this will work for me. Did you get any notice in your arm size or chest development? Thanks for making this video!
Thank you! I’m glad to hear the review was helpful. The chain is 14.5” long and each link is 1.5” L x approx 3/4” width. I can’t say for sure that this one piece has increased size bc I use many different pieces, but it does feel really effective. It’s a good deal too. I have one other video comparing this to Powertec’s dip attachment if you want to see it in action a little more.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews Yes,I subscribed and gave you a 👍. One other very important question. Do you know which part of the tricep this hits? Long, medial, lateral? Thanks. I too use a TDS lat machine and free weights.Other gadgets!
Great review, dude. Enjoy your videos. I have a few Titan pieces. Good products for the price. Quality control needs to improve. I’ve had to return a prone/lying leg curl machine & a cable cross over machine due to poor quality control from the factory (pieces missing/incorrect pieces or off set, etc). Their bumper plates are great!
Thank you! I feel sorry for their customer service reps. So many of these issues could be taken care of AND Titan would be more profitable with a solid QC Dept. I’m working on sending this dip machine back for another one because they can’t replace just the arm.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews The front post that is attached to the bottom post, below the seat, was drilled closer to the head on the bottom post. The front post was also about 4” too short. Additionally one seat pad was misaligned about1/4”, so one of the anchors to the seat pad could not be secured. Moreover, both pads were dimpled & rust was on two post ends. It was bad! Their customer service is better than their manufacturing process.
I wouldn’t use this machine for anything other than dips. The idea of that eyelet seems like it might offer some extra movements, but in practice, nothing really feels all that effective.
@@rexcolt7203 thanks so much. I’ve tried that on a couple machines, including the Titan Seated Leg Curl. This machine has been gone for a couple years, so I can’t try it here.
Thank you! Yeah, it’s definitely closer to the bottom of my preferred equipment list. If the eyelet offered more possibilities it would increase the machine’s value / utility.
I do not. I have a shoulder that gets aggravated with certain exercises, but this machine has never caused an issue. The handles are slightly farther apart than I would like, but other than that, I really like this machine (minus the QC issues) especially when leaning forward slightly.
The machine weight is not on the website. I have a replacement dip machine coming, so I’ll let you know what’s written on the shipping label. I can move it around pretty easily.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews what if you threw some weight on the lever arms and put the squat bar across your legs and used that to keep your lower body grounded?

I agree. That would help a lot. I’ve found by wrapping my legs around the seat post or simply bracing my feet against the front crossbar helps keep me planted when I’m going heavy.
