- 100% REGRET. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, THE WORST FOOD CHALLENGE! Today we take on what is supposed to be Canada's Spiciest Burrito Challenge to celebrate 700k subscribers, then follow up with a Hot Ones style Q&A! The Northern Reaper Burrito is made with a red tortilla, spicy chicken, hot sauce, toppings of your choice and a Carolina Reaper sauce made with Carolina reaper Mash & Pepper Extract ranking in at over 2.2 Million Scoville! This burrito cost $17 with double chicken, and had some of the worst after math I have experienced from attempting a spicy food challenge (and no it didn't end well)... We then follow up with an episode of "Hot Ones" style Q&A to celebrate this subscriber special. Can we eat the spiciest burrito? Did we make it too spicy? Let's just say this was a bad decision...

The way she was skimping on the burrito kind of irritated me. You’re paying for the challenge so you should get your moneys worth. Chipotle has the same problem.
Most places have a standard quantity starting point on items. I don't think he got charged for it.
It’s because they are too lazy to wash the pans and it said they skimp on the ingredients, so they don’t have to wash them/around them as often.

dont do it unless you have a whole day to spend recovering. its not the way in that hurts the most. you can feel it work its way through your guts. and the skin membrane on your lips and mouth that burn.... the same sort of sensitive membrane is on buttholes unfortunately

This challenge was weird because it didn’t have its own ingredients. You choose the proteins and sauces. Challenges usually come in their own unique way. The employee seemed to not know what went in the burrito. But hey still was spicy af 😂

I'm thinking the sauce was the actual challenge. This allows for anyone to be able to try it because they can choose what they like as long as the sauce is included.

I think the challenge was the heat of the sauce, not the ingredients of the burrito.
Ive done it and purchased a large Barbacoa burrito and smashed it after...but you sir take the cake with the extra Reaper sauce lol 💪

Spicy challenges seem to be the achilles heel for most competitive eaters. Joel can devour pounds of food, but those next level peppers are always a struggle. I don't think I can name any popular competitive eater who can eat a incredibly spicy meal without breaking a sweat.
Yea different skill set for sure. But the fact these guys make it through most of them anyway is impressive on it’s own.

Ice cream choice -- probably just plain old fashioned hand churned vanilla. When I was a young kid, I could eat slushies/slurpees with ease, get a brain freeze, recover and continue to just eat them with no regrets. Now if i just have a cup with ice, I get brain freezes. So I really don't do cold things very well. But on the rare occasion that I might have ice cream, I keep it simple and clean with just good ol' vanilla. And like you Joel, sugar free is my preferred item for all items including sweets and beverages.

When there is too much sauce on it you can’t even taste the flavor of the chicken or veggies. I love hot sauce and all, but that is way too much. I like to enjoy the flavors.
