Grew up listening to the RIF and WLLZ who played the Rockets! Man those were the greatest days hanging in Ann Arbor with a doobie listening to the greatest rock n roll - I gotta turn my new peeps onto the Rockets here now in the Deep South- cheers

So Detroit. Good ole' days...Cobo Hall, Trumbull Avenue, sneaking into Canada for a few beers...I wish I could take a 2 week vacation and go back (in time).

The lead vocals are great.......Why didn't he sound like this on the 1st studio album?......The vocals on 'Long Long Gone,' were weak. What happened? Did he hold back because the label wanted it to be a pop radio song? Damn!!!! This is superb!!!!!!!!

I was there both nights when they recorded... that way I know for certain my yelling contributed to whichever version actually made the album.

The Rockets were one of Rock n Rolls greatest bands, all the musicians were kick ass and Dave Gillberts vocals were top notch. Glad I got to see them live about 6 times.Radio should have pushed them down peoples throats like they do all that bullshit music!!!!!

They recorded two nights, so I went both nights to be certain I was part of whichever version of each song that actually made the album. I remember Dave threw his tamborin up and it took out a chunk of plaster from the ceiling.... Great times!

I have more respect for people that havent drank themselves to death. Gilbert is dead because he was a puking hippy who didnt take liver cancer seriously. He ruined the band that could have been much bigger without him because he put his selfish needs before anyone elses. He did it to himself, sorry if I don't feel sorry for him.
