I like to say I have a super power, it is my eternal struggle to make things
simple. I took your corner to corner rotating brick and converted it back to
"row by row". If you would be so kind, what I need now, is a peer review. I am not
sure I have the skills to document a pattern, so if i left something out and
commited the sin of omission, ask questions and challenge me. Let us begin. I
simply took your word that odd clusters would not work and stuck to your original
    example of 4 clusters.
chain 6 to start the first cluster, in the fourth chan from the hook do 3 double
crochets, one in each chain. at this point you can go to the left chain 3 and do
3 double crochets down the side of the cluster. I chose to extend the base chain
by repearing the first cluster, chain 6, and back filling with 3 double crochets
starting in the fourth chain from the hook and one in each of the other two chains.
chain 3, turn and slip stitch anchor into the opposite corner of that cluster.
chain 3 and turn. on the side of the previous cluster, 3 double crochets. extend
the base chain for the last time on this row and back fill with three double
crochets. chain 3 and slip stitch anchor in the opposite corner. you have just
    completed row 1.
now you extend the base chain up, not out. chain 6, three double crochets starting
in the fourth chain from the hook and one in each of the remaining 2. chain 3 and
slip stitch anchor in the next slip stitch. chain 3 and back fill with 3 double
crochets. chain 3 and slip stitch anchor it next to the chain 3 for that cluster.
chain 3 and back fill down the side of the previous cluster with 3 double crochets.
chain 3 and turn, then back fill down the side of the previous cluster with 3 double
crochets. slip stitch anchor in the next slip stitch. chain 3 and slip stitch anchor
in the end of the row. chain 3 and turn, back fill with 3 double crochets in that
chain 3. chain 3 and turn, slip stitch anchor in the end of the row. you have just
    completed row 2.
repeat row 2 twice and you have 4 rows. break off your yarn and weave in your
tails. join your new color yarn and repeat the same way you did in part 2,
except you go "row by row" instead of corner to corner. since my last cluster
was horizontal, i simply extended the base chain and made the next cluster vertical.

You’re the nicest spider l have ever meet. Being from 🇦🇺 l use U.K. terms but after watching your videos l remember the US terms. This makes it so much easier to do C2C blankets by going my squares. Thank you so much. 😊

Thank you so much, Fiber Spider, for this C2C JAYG tutorial series! Your instructions are so thorough. I crochet left handed, and your tutorials made the most sense to me. Of course I work in the opposite direction, but the other tutorials I watched and read were so confusing, I think even righties might have trouble with them. Thanks for keeping it simple and being thorough.

What impresses me most about this 4-part tutorial is that you pay attention to the direction of the stitches. Everything is facing the same direction in all the blocks and squares so that the final product all looks like it was worked in one piece.Your attention to detail is what I need from tutorials and I thank you.

I will refer back to your videos until I have it memorized. Thanks so much! ❤ you really should write this up as a pattern if you have not already.

I Love Love Love you fiber Spider. I had lost my mojo for crocheting and was depressed about it. I don"t do repetition very well so I rarely finished a project. This join as you go is sooooo much fun to crochet and I am back in the groove. No more depression for me, no sir !!!! Thank-you so much for taking the time to teach us. You have a great talent. And by the way, I love your voice.

I had such a hard time getting my head around the C2C to start with. I learned to slip stitch back to the Ch3 space to decrease. I absolutely LOVE how you Ch3 to get back to decrease!! It makes it so uniform on the edges. You make it so easy to learn new ways when you have been crocheting a long time. Thank you Spider! By the way, I love your music in the intro. Makes you want to do the Charleston!! Lifts you right up!

Just picked up my C2C after a year plus. Scratched my head trying to erase the blank space of where I needed to start. Ahhhh, part 4, adding a square that’s connected on 2 sides. That’s the where, now for the how. PULL. UP. THE. VIDEO. Good thing I saved all of them. Eight minutes of review and I was off to the races. I have watched other videos of this method and Spider’s is the best. One thought I would share for joining on 2 sides is you never do a chain 6 because it is “built” into the chain 3s when connecting the working square to the sides of the finished squares. At first I kept trying to chain 6 and then connect - didn’t work. Also, when you do it correctly all the connecting slip stitches will be going in the same direction. Fun project, enjoy.
