Just a question if this is a Mauser where is the Mauser signature markings. No proof marks no serial number markings? I have a Mauser 1910 and its not like this one. Also looks like it could easily be fired. Why not?

Please pardon my ignorance but what's that gayish cream you smeared over the front strap of the pistol and then melted with the blow torch, is it some sort of acid to even pitted surfaces?
This wasn't restoration it was vandalism, lots of oil and patience rather than brute force and cutting was required but of course that doesn't make a 'snappy' video.
