Optimus has always been a character that fans of the Transformers community have looked up to and greatly appreciated as early as the 1984 G1 cartoon show. He's the kind of leader that, following by the same words that Peter Cullen was once told by his brother Larry Cullen, is strong enough to be gentle. I remember being told by my father about how people, both children and adults, in the theaters cried to Optimus' death in the 1986 movie and that Hasbro was sent a bunch of letters by fans of just how majorly upset they were from their decision to kill off such an icon because their toy was discontinued. That's how big of importance this character has been for the franchise. Your dad's interpretation of Optimus Prime here in this animation is really well done. The way he moves and uses his Ion Blaster in combat, both normally and one handed, shows how tactical he is against Decepticons. The expressions in his eyes shows character and thought of his encounter with little Mimi-Sentry. In short, this animation was very well done and I'm glad I saw this in my recommended. Also of course Starscream is going to take the opportunity to try and defeat Optimus in order to prove he's a better Decepticon leader than Megatron. He got what he deserved XD
@@Jack-kx5em Nah thats only the Bumblebee movie that made Blitzwing look a lot like Starscream. This is the evergreen G1 designs, where Blitzwing is a purple and tan triple-changer with a jet and tank mode.
That honestly makes a lot of sense. Edit: Plus, the entire Ion Blaster is actually warranted if she was anything like Rumble or Frenzy. Those two are terrifying for their size, especially because their pile drivers can cause goddamned earthquakes.
I love how Optimus acts sweet and looks adorable (imo, look at those eyes of his!) but also is a total badass when he needs to be. Perfect balance struck!
I love how his eyes start off as sharp and dangerous but switch to his usual softer look akin to the G1 series after realizing what he’s looking at is essentially a child
Optimus is done PERFECTLY here. Model, personality and all, also love how he takes the hit for Mimi showing his gentle giant persona, and showing no matter how big or small a form is. He will always protect them, a true hero.
It was honestly quite wholesome to see Mimi meeting Optimus Prime and watched as he battled Starscream, I’m sure Mimi would love being friends with Bumblebee.
I love it! I love how Optimus really showed compassion and gentleness to Mimi despite being a literal war machine that can transformed into a truck, Wholesome!
Honestly, in terms of “we made this thing into a girl”, the TF2 Sentry Family is probably the one I actually like. The designs aren’t designed to be exaggeratedly sexual, in fact they’re really restrained. They feel loyal to the designs of the units in game. And they all have very distinctive personalities that are befitting of the unhinged dynamics of TF. Plus the family dynamics are fun.
I mean for real! At this point, Mimi is as much a character to me as the mercs are, and she really does fit in nicely. Plus we've got the extended Mimi Sentry cast and they're all remarkably distinctive.

But he didnt fire immediately, and when she put her hands up, he put his gun away and then quickly figured out she was out of place and so protected her and then gave her a ride. Optimus being a good guy.
Dude, I am loving this "Mimi meets" animations you've been doing. You nailed Optimus Prime's personality to a tee. Not just showing that he's not to be messed with when showing his firepower and strength, but also his compassion when protecting Mimi and offering her a ride. I am loving this!

The way you used the pneumatic sounds to emulate sighs from Mimi was a super creative choice. Absolutely genius, and the animation is super smooth too.
Every scene here is absolutely beautiful! I could probably make a desktop wallpaper out of every single second in this, and that scene where Optimus towers over Mimi is absolute perfection! The way he kneels down and turns on the lights across his torso so he can see better is just-... GAH, I LOVE IT!! I'm seriously impressed at how well you conveyed each character's emotions without any speech whatsoever. Optimus only has his eyes visible yet is extremely expressive! You've all outdone yourselves!

What a treat of a longer animation. Especially mimi and optimus himself transforming. That's often something that gets sidelined because it's really hard. Only thing I would mention is the weight of Optimus, especially when walking he seems lighter than he should be. Or that's how it feels at least. Mimis face has also improved I noticed.
NGL, havin' "More Gun" play while Optimus inspects Mimi really adds to it. I think the acoustic part's actually a really good representation of Optimus' gentle side
I don't know how to describe it exactly, but this almost feels like a Brawl Subspace Emissary. Just have the name splashes when the characters first show up, have no music and it'd be spot on. Great job 👍

This one of the best transformers animations yet. The models looks so good and faithful to the original designs, not only that but I found Optimus’s and Mimi’s interactions very cute
with majority of what i see in the internet, mimi's spunky attitude would totally fit in with the autobot team, the wreckers, basically autobot's version of black ops with a lot more wrecking
Not a word is said (except for the Engi voiceline at the end), and yet you demonstrate effortlessly a deeper understanding of who Prime's supposed to be than the live action movies ever have. 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
I could watch this on repeat for days if I could The touch of Optimus Prime being Optimus around Mimi while still showing that even when Mimi aimed her gun at him that he was willing to give her a chance when she put it away and even put his gun away when she showed no signs of being a threat Then when Starscream showed up and started shooting them, Optimus giving Mimi cover by taking the shots really showed and screamed Optimus Prime Thats not including when he even gave Mimi a ride, which Literally yells out that it's Truly Optimus Prime and not some Decepticon copy or a dark mirror Very well done in my opinion
I would honestly believe that if optimus prime saw an actual mimi-sentry, optimus prime would Definity believe that mimi-sentry is a mini-con of some sort. Since mini-cons are a neutral faction in transformers, optimus prime wouldn't act hostile when meeting up with mimi-sentry. He would probably have a failed attempt on recruiting mimi-sentry until later realizing its not a transformer at all, but would still probably help her to certain degree until optimus focuses back to his main tasks. So this animation is actually in certain degree, pretty accurate to an actual scenario if it would happen.
He might also initially mistake her as Frenzy considering her size and color scheme, but I love the fact that he instantly puts away his gun the second he sees Mimi is not a threat. Optimus isn’t the kind of guy to posture around with a weapon, he’s the kind of guy to offer a ride to a stranger in need.
Naw bro, this was HELLA COOL!!! But like SO FREAKING DAMN COOL! I'm an Transformers fan myself and this is just a freaking masterpiece! You did the transforming animation TWICE!!! DA HELL?? The animation in general was hella smooth, from beggining to end, the way the human characters walked, the way the robot girl moved, all of it! But damn, that Optimus part was definitely my favorite!!! And those scenes were so cute, I can't 😭. The transforming part is even way better than all the transformations in Transformers Prime LOL. A little detail I noticed is how his chest/abdomen parts shift around to allow more freedom of movement, that's a nice touch.

The touch of Optimus Prime being Optimus around Mimi while still showing that even when Mimi aimed her gun at him that he was willing to give her a chance when she put it away and even put his gun away when she showed no signs of being a threat
Then when Starscream showed up and started shooting them, Optimus giving Mimi cover by taking the shots really showed and screamed Optimus Prime
Thats not including when he even gave Mimi a ride, which Literally yells out that it's Truly Optimus Prime and not some Decepticon copy or a dark mirror

It's nice to take a break from the brutal violence of Bayverse Optimus and have wholesome moments between him and a human-sized character
I would honestly believe that if optimus prime saw an actual mimi-sentry, optimus prime would Definity believe that mimi-sentry is a mini-con of some sort. Since mini-cons are a neutral faction in transformers, optimus prime wouldn't act hostile when meeting up with mimi-sentry. He would probably have a failed attempt on recruiting mimi-sentry until later realizing its not a transformer at all, but would still probably help her to certain degree until optimus focuses back to his main tasks.
So this animation is actually in certain degree, pretty accurate to an actual scenario if it would happen.
He might also initially mistake her as Frenzy considering her size and color scheme, but I love the fact that he instantly puts away his gun the second he sees Mimi is not a threat. Optimus isn’t the kind of guy to posture around with a weapon, he’s the kind of guy to offer a ride to a stranger in need.
Y’all are insanely talented! TH-cam needs to push more of these guys out there!

Naw bro, this was HELLA COOL!!! But like SO FREAKING DAMN COOL! I'm an Transformers fan myself and this is just a freaking masterpiece! You did the transforming animation TWICE!!! DA HELL?? The animation in general was hella smooth, from beggining to end, the way the human characters walked, the way the robot girl moved, all of it! But damn, that Optimus part was definitely my favorite!!! And those scenes were so cute, I can't 😭. The transforming part is even way better than all the transformations in Transformers Prime LOL. You ATE! 🤩
I can only say that the interaction of the characters and the animation was very cute as well as the effects. 10/10
