Man the banana peel part is too real. When I was playing Runescape 12-11 years ago (I was 6-7 years old) I had just finished two quests that gave you this awesome looking set of white armor with gold trim. It wasn't even a particularly good set of armor, but 6-7 year old me had to try my hardest to get it. Just minutes after in the same town, a few guys went by saying to follow them for a drop party that would include dragon weapons. So I followed them. All the way to the wilderness. And I got killed in an ambush. And I got very upset. For a year. It still haunts me to this day, and I haven't played Runescape in 7 years now.
When I lay awake at night contemplating all my life's mistakes, it all comes back to that one moment when I decided to follow the drop party chain. The two clicks, one right and one left, that shattered my innocence and ended my childhood prematurely. I consider what I could have become had I not fallen for the trap: maybe a doctor? The president? Maybe the next Bill Gates? But now I have become nothing; a shell of my former self, trapped in an uncaring world that will crush me the moment it gets a chance. And so as I lay awake at night I scream, because there is nothing left for me to say. But on the bright side, when I started playing the game again after a year of taking a break I managed to get another set of that white armor within a day so I guess you win some and you lose some.
I remember I used to play Runescape back in 2005, 2006 and I was only six years old at the time. I remember getting killed by a zombie in some dungeon in a city (I don't remember the names, it's been over a decade) and I got so pissy I stopped playing the game lol.
Fucking traumatic flashbacks dudes. Specifically with the asterisk password scam. I was a really dumb 11 year old. Shouted my password in the bank when someone claimed that scam worked, and moments later I lost that account for good :(

I wish they had one that was right before the atrocity 3.0 or whatever it is now was released. I joined in probably 2010 so by then they had the high quality mode, and I left shortly after dungeoneering was added. Wish they had a server that was everything up to the dungeoneering release but nothing after.
dungeoneering was released in 2010 though, so either you started playing earlier or you only played for 5 months. Also RS3 is just as good as osrs imo.
Really? I didn't think I started playing it much earlier than that, I came in a month or so after they moved to full animated faces in the bottom screen, and I remember when stealing creation was added, fist of guthix was in the wilderness still and I think I did the first halloween event (where you trick or treat and get the orange/brown warlock costume), and I was very grateful when they added minstrels to major running paths. Maybe it has been that long.... And I logged back into the New RS and I just don't like it. Everything just feels too different and not for the better. That is just my opinion though.
