what i really love about old AC, is they can make a game that blurs history and fantasy, so some how the original are more relatable for us in modern times, like the story of illuminati other organizations was based on templar vs asassins. old AC : 90% playing in history and old technology, 10% (or less) fantasy, magic and gods new AC: full fantasy

Remember when Assassin's creed revolved around actual history? I miss that. Obviously they took some liberties, but for the most part, the games were pretty grounded. Now, it's just magic and it's weird to me. And I hate the branching paths. Makes no sense. You can't change the past.

Haha that’s the perfect analogy. AC died for me with AC Unity. Unity was a buggy mess, but there was a great game underneath the glitches and bugs. Ubisoft and the developers have lost their way with this franchise.

He was also very intelligent and wise at the same time, otherwise Odin would’ve checked him. Odin was no saint, but there was a reason he was the most feared, not just because he was so powerful but because he was steps ahead of everybody else. Having a complete wreckless and ridiculously powerful child would’ve caused him issues that he had no tolerance for. Odin was calculated and also ruthless. He allowed nothing to jeopardize that, and this version of Thor would’ve done exactly that. Besides, Thor did a lot of positive things and wasn’t this loud/over the top. They could of used Thor as part of the marketing for this game had they of gone with the middle ground of his character. GOW really has my interest in regards to Thor. That ending with him showing up briefly has the most potential for a more proper version of him.

As much as I can agree, that the new direction goes for more fantasy setting then a "traditional" AC game. But since this is the direction they are going, it still would be cool to see the Norse god's fighting against the Greek god's, or at least interact with them in a future dlc or something
The animations look so weird haha, like they barely spent time on them. It doesn't do the story justice and makes the voice acting cringy. They should take notes from the witcher

And there never was a crowd of people just standing around in a cutscene.that was more for 1-1 interactions in random events or very small side quests. And in W3, it felt more cinematic through the variety of camera angles, effects and music they used. Ye, these are tricks to make a conversation seem more lively, but they work. All that is just missing here imo. Conversations feel as meaningless as in AC Odyssey.

There is actually a story to the assassins in this one, the cult order that your facing in the game is actually 1 of the groups that built up the templars just like the cult of kosmos i believe, ive been playing it for a bit now, it is pretty fun and the assassins are in it too, however they are referred to as "the hidden ones" at this point, untill i actually beat it i still dont know how i feel about it yet
The purpose of whole trilogy (origins odyssey vikings) is trying to explain about Isu civilization and their technologies and how they impacted later world. And also how they became legends but in reality all they were just power hungry asses. Therefore i think they all looks so miserable.

For all the people trying to compare these two games, bash on assassin‘s creed trying to say the god of war did it better. stop, go of war is about the supernatural side of Norse mythology and the Norse mythology is its primary focus. Assassin‘s creed is about the historical side of of that location England, Finland, Norway, etc. it actually does the real historical events and mix them with their story, that’s all it is completely different.
I couldn’t even finish the video. The writing sucks. Scene to scene this was hot garbage. Now obviously this isn’t the whole game. But if this is any indication? The more I see and hear about this game the more I say it’s hot garbage.
It’s just the scenes in Asgard that are like this, the way the gods are portrayed in this game is based on their direct actions in mythology, they spoke and acted very odd compared to us.
I think the games been an amazing upgrade compared to odyssey and origins the only real things I dislike are the fact theres no shortswords for the player to use unless brutally killing someone with there own sword and I dislike that theres no new game plus all the bugs and sound problems are because the game is meant for new gen consoles

And there never was a crowd of people just standing around in a cutscene.that was more for 1-1 interactions in random events or very small side quests. And in W3, it felt more cinematic through the variety of camera angles, effects and music they used. Ye, these are tricks to make a conversation seem more lively, but they work. All that is just missing here imo. Conversations feel as meaningless as in AC Odyssey.

I feel like this game is just trying so hard to get a piece of what God Of War accomplished with norse mythology.

There is actually a story to the assassins in this one, the cult order that your facing in the game is actually 1 of the groups that built up the templars just like the cult of kosmos i believe, ive been playing it for a bit now, it is pretty fun and the assassins are in it too, however they are referred to as "the hidden ones" at this point, untill i actually beat it i still dont know how i feel about it yet

The purpose of whole trilogy (origins odyssey vikings) is trying to explain about Isu civilization and their technologies and how they impacted later world.

For all the people trying to compare these two games, bash on assassin‘s creed trying to say the god of war did it better. stop, go of war is about the supernatural side of Norse mythology and the Norse mythology is its primary focus. Assassin‘s creed is about the historical side of of that location England, Finland, Norway, etc. it actually does the real historical events and mix them with their story, that’s all it is completely different.

I couldn’t even finish the video. The writing sucks. Scene to scene this was hot garbage. Now obviously this isn’t the whole game. But if this is any indication? The more I see and hear about this game the more I say it’s hot garbage.
It’s just the scenes in Asgard that are like this, the way the gods are portrayed in this game is based on their direct actions in mythology, they spoke and acted very odd compared to us.
I think the games been an amazing upgrade compared to odyssey and origins the only real things I dislike are the fact theres no shortswords for the player to use unless brutally killing someone with there own sword and I dislike that theres no new game plus all the bugs and sound problems are because the game is meant for new gen consoles
