The thing with Coke Studio is that, they have set such high standards for themselves that we always expect songs having soul searching lyrics and resonating tunes from them, but rarely they do give songs that are much like generic Bollywood music. And this one falls in the latter category.
Expecting more gems like Shikwa, Piya Ghar aya from Hamza and Zohaib
Exactly what I was thinking. Right now, they are pumping out everything they can get their hands on. I think the Quality factor in this season is rather low relative to their previous seasons' performances (maybe due to the new Directors Duo). I'm hoping they will bring back the previous Coke Studio back to life in the next season.
