Any Habs fan can tell you that Pacioretty has never been a strong performer in the playoffs. He's peripheral player that needs a set up guy and a someone to do the dirty business in the corners. This is already what the Leafs have too many of.
He's signed as a depth guy on a PTO not as the Saviour for god sake. He hasn't even signed a contract or played a game I hardly think he's the answer or will be the downfall of the Leafs. Lol
There are times, like this segment, I think the guys are having fun. Not doing shtick or producing content, just friends hanging out talking hockey. Thanks guys
Wtf is Dangle talking about. 23 points in 46 games isn't bad for a 35 yr old. That's 41 points in 82 games. That would make him 7th in scoring on the Leafs. What's wrong with that for a 36 yr old 😂
You guys do realize that Pacioretty tore the same achilles in a span of 6 months, right? His footspeed is actually cooked, as shown by last year when he was very slow. Not only that, tearing the same achilles twice weakens it so much that it could easily happen again. JVR can at least stay healthy, play net front on the pp, deflect pucks, and go to those garbage areas.
@@pahul79 Dude won 82/147 faceoffs against Boston, digs in the corners and wins board battles. Marner does none of that, looked pretty replaceable to me.
This is a privotal season for the leafs. I wonder when the JT and Marner rumours will start. I think the leafs will need to get a centre who can go up and down the 2/3 lines. If they can land an RFA on a cheap contract they can recoup the production. Get 2-3 skaters back if they end up trading them.
IF they’re dead set on bringing back Marner, I hope they wait until the summer to do anything. Base it on his playoff performance, and you’ll never overpay him.
@@timmanto1022ya I've heard either could do it however I personally feel Mitch would be better suited given his defensive game, whereas I feel Nylanders offense may take a hit at center as well. If patch can get 10-15 goals, not be a liability as a bottom six player and maybe give us some pp goals to allow for a more threatening powerplay that has options, a league minimum or million dollar one year deal makes sense
@@Crankbait81they will if they play better hence why Pacioretty, Alex Nylander and Lorentz are on PTOs and not signed yet, if prospects perform well in Camp they likely only sign these guys as depth/AHL players, better to have Pacioretty at 1 million than Reaves at 1.35

starting to think all the work and legit screaming is getting to his brain.
Many players can get half a ppg. But some dont bring anything defensively (Max)
