    WTF is Adam talking about? If Crosby didn’t fully want to remain a Penguin until he retires he wouldn’t have even looked at this contract.

    @mobilepwr2 วันที่ผ่านมา +12

    Hilarious that a typical Leafs fan first question asked is where will he be traded in 3 years bc that's how they feel about all of their players except maybe Matthews.
    This isn't Toronto, Steve. Pens paid Malkin,Letang,Crosby to retire as Penguins. It may end in a Chicago situation but they've earned it and deserve to retire as Penguins

  • @mobilepwr2
    @mobilepwr2 วันที่ผ่านมา +7

    Had to double comment bc Adam just seriously asked how resigning a 94 point player who accounted for 40 goals helps the Penguins? Not to mention his 2 way play...etc etc. 😂
    I can almost guarantee that behind the scenes Crosby is tied in with Dubas on every move. There's CLEARLY a plan & Crosby signing at 8.7 could potentially give us an extra 2-3 million to make a splash move down the line. Just wait

    Why da fuq is Marner, Mathiews and Nylander all paid more then Sid?

  • @brandonrickner1321
    @brandonrickner1321 วันที่ผ่านมา +17

    Adam is quick to write off Dubas moves, but Blake Lizotte and Anthony Beauvillier signinga could be hugely underrated if they flourish in Pittsburgh. If Hayes has a bounce back year, they could easily lockdown a wildcard spot.

    • @biggbluh
      @biggbluh วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      Exactly this!! It's crazy how people were already talking how bad Dubas & the Pens were when they had a Top 5 Defense up until 3 weeks before the Trade deadline!
      Adam's been bashing Graves on Defense, when he was mostly above +13 for the entire season... without being a Point merchant!
      All they need to be a playoff team is a little bit more speed throughout the lineup... and they're good! They won't win a Cup... but will remain decent for Sid's swansong! As long as he's not embarrassed... he retires a Pens!

    • @willsk7068

      Dubas has the leash off from Shanny.

    • @mobilepwr2
      @mobilepwr2 วันที่ผ่านมา +5

      Dubas has had to rework the entire roster to make up for the disaster that Burke and them left. If Dubas took over with this type of plan when Burke and them did, the Penguins would've been playoff bound for sure

    • @maczed31
      @maczed31 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I'm not sure if you have examined Dubas' career....with the exception of Sid's contract, he has consistently overpaid on his contract signings....with the exception of the Ryan O'Reilly trade, name a trade he 'won'...and he has in two drafts landed a good 2nd round pick...but tell me who else?
      His MO is he over pays on key contracts, again with the exception of Crosby, he has continued that in Pittsburgh.
      He loads up on fringe players to fill out bottom 6, playing an 'analytics' game that one will play above their contracts...didn't workout in Toronto, hasn't worked out in Pittsburgh. Beauvillier has failed on other teams, and Lizotte if that 'key' other teams, including LA, would have signed them. Hayes has become a perimeter player that doesn't engage, although has improved his face-offs....very much similar to Carter near the end of his career.
      Dubas doesn't have a strong MO for 'winning'...that isn't to say he can't win...but I see your comment and the comments thereafter and I can't help but wonder what are you guys basing your beliefs on? Because when I look at the track record that isn't the impression I'm left with. Crosby made Dubas' life easy with this

    "Do you want to make the playoffs and be the LA Kings or do you want to make the playoffs and be the Edmonton Oilers?"
    LA has two fairly recent Stanley Cups, which they won as an eighth seed and as total underdogs (They also dont have a Sidney Crosby). The Edmonton Oilers have Conner McDavid playoff highlight reels.
    Your team also hasn't won a Stanley Cup in your lifetime, so we won't take your opinions too seriously, lol

      @Smallerexia วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Kings won the cup in 2014 and haven't made it past the first round since. They have only made to the playoffs 5 of the 10 years since and in 3 straight have lost to the oilers. This isn't about what they did years ago. It's a "what have you done for me lately" league. That's what he means

    • @NifeOO4niff
      @NifeOO4niff วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @Smallerexia I understand that, but the Oilers haven't won anything either. I guess my point really is that it doesn't matter what seed you are in the playoffs. You just have to make it. And re-signing Crosby gives the Penguins the best chance to make it. They most certainly are a team of IFs, though.

Kopitar wouldn't ask to be traded to a contender despite knowing the Kings ain't good enough to compete with the Powerhouses of the West right now! "Ray Bourque-in it" gave me a chuckle. But Crosby seems to value loyalty and legacy way more than to forfeit being a Pen for life in favor of a chance to chase another cup like that (as cool as it would be to see the Cole Harbour guys team up in Denver).
