@4:52 You should do a review using a non-native vhp psu using the included 4x8 pin connector to see if there's a difference in power draw or if it's the same, because many of us viewers still have standard 2.0 power supplies
I'm probably the only guy who doesn't care about it's performance but more interesting in the cooling because ive heard way too much about improvements bla bla bla :D
I don't buy IKEA stuff and raw performance increase was as expected (i.e. not matching hype, NVidia pushing RTX as something you should have on to slow games down, then DLSS to fix that), but the packaging actually looks better than styrofoam. NVidia is teaching at least one thing here. I don't really care how a graphics card looks of if it has nice lil braids on the cable aww
@@eTeknix I am , and I am in the uk , like you I believe , ill be online at 2pm but I dont feel confident about it , I know Nvidia marketplace will redirect me to scan uk which I already have an account set up , finger across , have u heard anything about uk stock availability ? thanks nik
Its a great piece of engineering but no thanks. Strange how when I was younger and couldn't afford a flagship GPU it was all I wanted, now that I'm older and can I would rather blow the 2k on other things and get a decent midrange GPU. Hell I even went team red last gen and it will likely last me at least another generation. Interested to see how much of a hardware upgrade this will be over the 40 series as oposed to being new hardware with software upgrades.
Nvidia's 5000 series is just overclocked 4000 series. *4070* was 20% faster than 3070ti , had 4gb Vram upgrade and was much more power efficient. *5070* has Zero Vram upgrade , uses 15% more power and only 5-10% more fps than 4070s. *4080* was 42% faster than 3080ti, had 4gb more Vram and much more power efficient. *5080* only ~15% faster than 4080s , Zero Vram upgrade , and uses more energy. *4090* is 76% faster than 3090. *5090* 30% more fps , for 25% more money + for 28% more power usage. So 5090 including energy bills for 4 years 4h a day will cost you $2000+ $183 (UK bills) = ~2200 vs 1600. 5090 will cost 37% more than 4090 for 30% more fps. So you can buy 4090 and have 21fps in Cyberpunk or buy 37% more expensive 5090 and have 27fps. Never trust Nvidia's marketing.
I dig the packaging. I've never really understood spending so much money on flashy boxes that we all know are gonna get thrown out ASAP. Not to mention the environmental problems. Easily biodegradable cardboard is a far superior option, and it has this subdued yet nice aesthetic IMO. The card itself looks pretty elegant. Too bad they don't sell the founders editions here in the Philippines.
Cant wait for the benchmarks

Not gonna lie. I really dig the new more black out design. Can't wait for the benchmarks. Keep up the great work bro and stay safe.
2000 USD and it gets shipped in egg carton box? Damn.

I'm not surprised we're hearing about potential shortages, they're handing them all out to TH-camrs.
I was thinking the same thing, handing them out like candy on Halloween. Guess it's their form of marketing.
Especially the FE version.
They saved a lot of money with AI. Isnt it a software gpu?
@@blacklevo9989its all AI instead of raw power. That's why the card has gotten much smaller because its all software upgrade.
I think its a lovely piece of industrial design and approve the change in packaging ☀☀☀☀☀
Freaking. Sweet. Thumbs up!
Appreciate it.
I get they want to be ecofriendly with the packaging. But its not like PC enthusiasts throw the boxes out. For the price, I'm left expecting more.
Maybe they should be more ecofriendly with the power usage...

Everyone on TH-cam seems to be getting a 5090 yet buyers will be screwed on launch no 5090's left to purchase.

i want the 5080 but all these 5090 vids ....... 👀
Nice :)
Going to get one?
@eTeknix Thinking of it. But maybe 5080 would be better for me.

Nothing yet from my end but it wouldn’t surprise me if stock was in the low side due to the yield from these super high end cards.
@ how do you TH-camrs get theirs if you dont mind me asking?
Im lacking so much in my channel to be able to ever have gpu sent for free to me.maybe one i get better to be blessed to like u.❤
That box looks like a dog bone. At least Nvidia now is upfront with us. here boy, buy the 5090... there you go. good

Horrible comment there are no official benchmarks yet. Also the clock speed on Blackwell is not a massive leap over Ada.
