In this video I show some tips on making a custom leather knife sheath. The sheath is for a neat Stiletto knife and honing steel. Thank you for watching and commenting. Bruce
Enjoyed the video!! Always learn something new!! Nice looking sheath!! Many, many moons ago, I ordered one those Gerber knives. Looked just like that one, except no saw type edge and mine had a bend in blade.. actually thought it was a defective blade!! Lol. Found out, I ordered a special edition blade, the blade was , bowed .. for hitting the clavicle, so they said.. great vid. Question-- I noticed, you didn't use a liner piece to protect the stitches?? Was wondering if that works ok, for other blades, or just this style?? Thanks!!
@@cheaneysaddles , ok. Great to know!! Definitely a kool sheath!! Thanks for replying, Mr. Cheaney.. hope to see some more great tutorials!! SOON!! LOL!! I FINALLY ordered all the tools I was asking you about, last month. Except, 1... I've watched you use the Osborne, wing compass/ stitch groover.. seems you use it quite a bit. I've got new ,Saddlers Stitch Groover.. works ok. One you used in this vid, is it a better tool or more effective in grooving stitch line?? And how do you sharpen it!!?? Lol. Ive found the groover itself, but so far, no extra cutting tip or end.. Thank You!!

That’s a great question about the liner! I've found that a liner isn't necessary for this style of sheath. Thank You!

What leather do you use for you sheaths
I like leather from ALD American Leather Direct. The leather I'm using in this knife sheath making video is Chestnut color strap leather.
Thanks
