The way he describe concierge is not really like the real concierge. Many a times we are often stuck at the counter and have to report to the duty manager if anything arises. Then there is mall concierge which is more jobscope such as ticketing for events and attraction and redemptions etc
Thank god for concierge. I work as a bellman in a four star hotel; the front desk agents and I are always flooded with our own work. We won't be able to help guests with detailed planning for dinners, directions, and recommendations.
