And your just clearly hating on drake because let's just say it was solely based on commercial success, which roc marcinaro song out streamed any drake song this year ?
Anyone that doesn’t have Dot #1 is lying to themselves lol. Even if you don’t like bros music, his impact alone would dictate hes #1. No one else came close imo

Respect what y’all boys do but having Drake on this list at all has to be done Toronto bias because to not have an album drop, for every one of your releases to not hit at all and to get absolutely throttled in a rap battle to a point of litigation, you can’t be on any top rap list after that. This man will always remember 2024 as his absolute worse year and maybe the worse year any top level artist has ever had so how is this man in anybody’s top 6. I don’t get it

The numbers stayed strong because Drake fans, like Taylor Swift's fans are practically a cult. They will listen to anything even if it's crap. Where's the Rhapsody album?

I can't be mad with people thinking this is Kendrick's year, with the way he handled the beef and the GNX album that's been growing on me. Nonetheless, for me personally, Cole had a better run or at least his run was more meaningful to me than KDot's. I really didn't care for the apology, except for the impact that had in his promo for The Fall Off. He had a great album and feature run, except for Grippy, which is irrelevant when considering his performance in other features. Also The Inevitabble Series were amazing, showcasing his career, with him dropping his mixtapes on Streaming as if his clock is ticking. We can't forget the 2014FHD deluxe album, which makes people remember why they keep falling in love with Cole's work. For me, it was very important all that he done this year.
Idk man i think if you talk commercial success and drama obviously kdot number 1 but if you are talking skill level cole gotta have that top spot. He had the hardest verses of 2024 and dominated all of our favorite rappers on their own tracks. Also i have to say might delete later was def a better album than GNX but it got overshadowed by the drama. My top 3 would be 1. COLE 2. DOT 3. Gibbs. For next year i think cole rips i think joey badass comes out of hibernation. I think westside has a big year and i think denzel and Jid drop some heat. All in all i feel like hip hop is in a great spot rn

Crazy. Future was thisclose to being rapper of the year until GNC dropped. Damn i slept on Roc Mar evidently. Let me run these projects for the New Year.
@ for Drake, he didn’t put out a project like everyone else mentioned on this list. He really was just in the Beef with Kendrick which was cool but like was mentioned he didn’t win so I think that should also affect his ranking. Plus, the 100 GIGS thing was like a few singles/EP which wasn’t really talked about much and I don’t really hear people going back to it all that often. For Cole, I think he’s top 10 for sure and Might Delete Later was solid but I feel like there are other people who had better projects, ScHoolBoy, Kendrick, Tyler, Freddie, Roc, Ab. But also pulling out the beef and apologizing was kinda weak but also understandable but deleting a song was not it, but that’s just me. But let’s not even get started on Grippy lmao. But honestly he had a solid year and I’d put him at like 7
Actually, i forgot about Cole's pussification this year so imma go Future at 5. Even tho i loved the Might Delete project (except the 7 minute garbage)

Idk Cole shouldn’t be in top 5 and Drake shouldn’t be top 10
why?
But honestly he had a solid year and I’d put him at like 7
Where is Chris webby?
How is drake even there lol
Future should be top 2.
The only top 5 that makes sense. y'all welcome:
1 - DOT
2 - Tyler
3 - Q
4 - Vince
5 - Cole
Actually, i forgot about Cole's pussification this year so imma go Future at 5. Even tho i loved the Might Delete project (except the 7 minute garbage)
I can’t believe people think port Antonio is a miss. I got it up there for song of the year.
I know people don’t like what he said in regards to the beef, but take that out and just listen to it as a song. Unreal.
@@jambo1349 Yep!! Only peeps who are still mad at him for backing out of the beef don’t like this song or feel he made a mistake in dropping it. It’s a beautiful song and lyrical masterpiece. Easily SOTY.
