    I just built this gun but used Aero Precision M4E1. Fires brass just like an AR15, but chokes on the cheap steel stuff. Tula doesn’t cycle so well. I just decided to stick with brass.
    Lessons from building:
    I found 5lb trigger pull is about the best you can do without inviting light strikes.
    You need an Enhanced firing pin along with special bolt and extractor.
    If you use mid length gas you are best using standard carbine spring and buffer weight. I use an adjustable gas block, but mid length gas doesn’t produce enough gas pressure to consistently cycle with H2.
    The Duramag magazines in 28 and 20 rounds work very well. Best out there don’t try anything else.
    Omega 300 Silencer with ASR mount.
    Such a fun gun to build and shoots just as light as my 556/223.

    This one kicks butt - and is more field dependable than the AK47 stamped sheetmetal version, which tends to have its trigger set pins loosen and back out over time.

    What buffer weight did you use H, H1, H2, H3 or H4? I just finished my 16 inch 7.62 AR with a Bravo mk2-recoil-mitigation-system-mod-1-t3 buffer system 5.6 ounce buffer weight. I also added an enhanced firing pin for steel cased, a 4.5 pound pull trigger spring and a heavier hammer spring with a mil-spec trigger group. The buffer system I mentioned is the same as the A-5 buffer system which uses a longer m-16-A4 buffer spring and the buffer weight is longer than a regular carbine buffer but shorter than a rifle buffer. The buffer tube is 3/4 inch longer than the standard carbine tube. That buffer system reduces felt recoil, BCG dwell time and keeps your rifle from being over gassed which is a big problem for that rifle breaking extractors and the bolt head which is milled thinner to fit the case head for the 7.62 x 39.

    • @SafetySteves
      @SafetySteves  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure what buffer weight it has. This came as a complete rifle from Diamondback. I swapped the trigger and that's about it. Works great with no issues so far. I have a suppressor on the way for it and then we will see how gassy it is lol.
      Thanks for all the information I really appreciate it. 🙏

    Nice demo thank you fairly unique rifle, it would be helpful if you mention the brand name of your belt and the name of the attachment which holds those magazines Hass to be unique wondering if there is some thing that also holds the SKS magazines for the same caliber which hasn’t very unusual birds beak on one end of it to hook underneath the rifle?
